Communication is a big part of the job. Maybe the biggest part of the job. He does well at that.

Could he have better prepared NY back in Jan & Feb? Sure. He is probably guilty of thinking that the federal government was going to do something useful, and that thinking cost all of the states precious time.

More like a joke to contradict Sly's message of hope and love and unity.

Though that doesn't contradict the implication that I'm an asshole. I am.

    Quit stealing my lines.

All the governors are shit. Just the other night I watched ours give a press conference and stand behind the people talking while looking lost in space. Looking up at the ceiling.

One speaker had a sign language interpreter and then when they switched to the next speaker that guy had his own interpreter.

Paid for by us I bet.

I was thinking more along the lines of ron howard narrating arrested development.

Nah...Samuel. Whatever happened to his voice instead of Alexa? Was that a joke or did I dream it?

    Not sure if someone else has already posted this or not but, Gov Cuomo's Brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has tested positive;

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/31/media/chris-cuomo-coronavirus/index.html

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo diagnosed with coronavirus; he will continue working from home

Chris Cuomo said Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with Covid-19.

He is feeling well, and will continue to anchor his 9 p.m. program "Cuomo Prime Time" from his home.
"In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus," Cuomo wrote in a message on Twitter.
"I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath," he wrote. "I just hope I didn't give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!"
Cuomo was most recently at CNN's offices in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City last Friday. He anchored from his home on Monday, and interviewed his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The two men traded brotherly barbs about the anchorman's basement live shot location.
Cuomo said Tuesday that he is "quarantined in my basement" and will "do my shows from here."
"We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united!" he wrote on Twitter.

So did Cuomo have dinner at his brother's on Sunday or not. Reading that he did but can't find anything concrete.

Coumo certainly was too slow to close the state, but once he figured it out - he has done a fantastic job given the amount of people the close quarters he has to deal with.

But, if there is someone that certainly got it right is California's governor - Gavin Newsom - he was the first one to do a state wide quarantine - and while California has the most residents in the country - and was hit with cases early (possibly 2nd after Washington) - the infections per resident is only 18/100K which is relatively low for a state with multiple large, dense cities (it is lower than Wyoming, for example, which is not exactly the most dense state out there).

No, I don't mean that. They didn't do that anyway, they flew all the Americans home from Wuhan, including sick ones. And the airlines cancelled their flights, not the government, on different days. And of course people could still fly to and from China via other countries even after the direct flights to/from the USA were all shut down. And the flights stopped after the virus was already in the US.

So, no. Closing the barn door after the horse is out does not win any medals.
