In my very anecdotal experience the ones who seem to be like, "whatever" are mostly seniors. Most of the people around my age I engage with are trying to follow the guidelines and all that for the most part. Most of the older people I know don't seem to care one way or another. In fact, I've had multiple 55+ year-old people tell me, "Eh I'm gonna die from something". It's strange since they're the high-risk crowd...

She's yet another White House parrot. But I think that Fauci, because he seems to speak his own mind, sometimes pisses Trump off to no end.

That virus protection is out of date. The disk appears to say 2005. Maybe it will protect you from SARS, but not SARS-Cov-2.

Sure, but what has also been shown is that tests aren't being performed on many who have had some symptons though and sent home saying it's just a bronchitis or pneumonia. I'm not just talking Oregon. Also, it has been shown some can be carriers but not sick. Finding out who a carry is can be very importasnt as well. Most the dosctors I have read articles on and seen briefings by say testing testing testing. We need as much info as possible to kick this thing.

I disagree. I think you can assume that who is getting tested is at the very least equivalent to a random sample of the population. It is more likely skewed toward those who are at greater risk and those who have exhibited symptoms. I believe it is very good news.

hmm, interesting conclusion as my experience is the complete opposite as I have seen on the news many younger people denouncing the closures and downplaying the severity of it. Look at Mardi Gras and the Florida beaches just in the past few weeks as that was mostly younger people. I even heard several young people claim they were immune to it because they were in their 30's or less and now the stats show that anyone is susceptible to the virus.

I think the only reason Fauci is still there is the following he has by many people and trump can only play the you're fired card so much until it completely backfires on him and Fauci would be a good case for an uproar over being fired

explain why so many that exhibit some symptoms are being turned down for testing and just sent home to rest?

Wasn't a conclusion just anecdotal what I've seen in my personal life. Is that almost all the older people parents/grandparents, co-workers seem to not care. In fact where I work the ones who have stayed home are mostly young people, the ones still coming in are mostly older people. There's two of us "40 and younger" still coming in. While Dozens of older people who can be working from home are coming in.

I can't. Do you disagree with my assertion that people at higher risk and people exhibiting symptoms are more likely to have been tested than those not at higher risk and those that are not exhibiting symptoms?

The spread of COVID-19 is based on two factors
    1. How dense the population is
    2. How dense the population is

and that's the problem. Not enough people are being tested so we can have more accurate data and determine who should be quarantined. I would feel horrible if I came down with some symptoms and then told I can't be tested because it's not seere enough or that it's just the flu, bronchitis or pneumonia and then I go home and end up spreading it to others.
