    What port fees?
You can get on the ships, but not off.

First person-to-person spread of coronavirus confirmed in the US as Chicago man is infected after his wife traveled to China where the disease killed 170 and ravaged at least 8,000
    • A Chicago man, in his 60s, has tested positive for the coronavirus after being infected by his wife
    • It is the first case of person-to-person spread of the virus in the US
    • The man's wife, 60, became the second person in the US to be diagnosed after she returned from a trip to Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak
    • The couple, who have not been identified, are now both being isolated in a suburban Chicago hospital
    • Four other cases have been confirmed in Arizona, California and Washington
    • Worldwide, more than 8,000 people have been infected and 170 people - all in China - have died

    Warning, this is unconfirmed rumors.

There are questions about the true source of the Wuhan virus. It starts with the very first case early in Dec. They can not connect this first known case, as well as over a dozen early cases, to the wet animal market.

Combine this info with the report of a govt. research lab in Wuhan that studies these types of virus. There is a growing suspicion that the virus "may" have escaped the research facility.

We may never know the complete truth.

Think of all the shipping boxes from Amazon and others that come from China not to mention other products.

Again, I am only posting the best info todate. It may not be accurate.

The virus needs a host, such as a human, to survive and multiply.

The virus can live for up to 5 days without a host. Such as on a door knob or box.

It is unlikely a box shipped from China would have a live virus.

China’s government stood silent Monday in the face of growing scientific reports that the source of the deadly Wuhan virus outbreak did not originate solely from a seafood market in the city.

President Xi Jinping faced mounting criticism on Chinese social media sites for failing to travel to the affected city in Hubei province. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang instead arrived in Wuhan on Monday and is heading efforts to confront the epidemic.

Wuhan’s mayor and the Communist Party secretary for the city of 11 million offered to resign amid criticism of their regional government’s mishandling of the deadly outbreak.

Suspicions about a link to a biological warfare leak in Wuhan have been raised because the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory handles deadly viruses and its civilian and military research are intertwined in China.

The Washington Times reported Friday that a former Israeli military intelligence analyst on the Chinese biological arms program said it is possible the disease escaped from one of two Chinese research facilities that are linked to China’s covert biological weapons program.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology National Biosafety Laboratory is China’s sole declared facility capable of conducting research on deadly viruses, including severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). China declared a second laboratory, the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, as part of biological warfare research under the Biological Weapons Convention.

The State Department said in a report last year that it suspects China is working covertly on offensive biological weapons in violation of the convention.

A group of 29 Chinese researchers, writing in the British medical journal The Lancet, said the first person to become ill from the Wuhan virus was identified on Dec. 1 and had no link to the animal market. The magazine Science reported the findings of the study on Sunday.

“No epidemiological link was found between the first patient and later cases,” the report said. At least 13 victims of the virus had no apparent exposure to the seafood market. The market sold wild animals such as civet cats until it was closed on Jan. 1.

“That’s a big number, 13, with no link,” Daniel Lucey, an infectious disease specialist at Georgetown University, told Science.

Dr. Lucey, an infectious disease physician and adjunct professor of infectious diseases, told the online

Read my post from yesterday in this thread. I posted an article from The Scientist Magazine from November 2015 that outlined scientists concerns with the lab-created coronavirus and it’s ability to spread. There are also patents for a coronavirus vaccine that go back as far as 2007. You can look all this up, Or I can dig it up if you’d like. This virus did not originate from bats, they were just the first carriers of a man-made virus it sounds like.

Who will think of the shipping boxes?

Poor things. They've suffered so much, and for what?

It doesn't sound like that except in your posts.

The fact that someone can create a coronavirus in a lab does not mean that this one originated in a lab.

Lots of great cruises start in Australia.

Found a 15 day cruise starts in Chile, Peru, through Panama canal, Costa Rica, departure in Florida. Price has dropped to $23 per day per person, with free open bar, wifi, and upgraded dinner specialty package.

What's the catch? One engine down, only one good engine left to make it back to Florida. Skipping most ports due to slower speed.

Sounds like one of the smaller super luxury cruises. Out of my league.

If prices drop, or they miss ports, they should be able to get a refund, or, at least a ship credit.
