I tried but my wife said the garage must be organized, so saying no was not an option....apparently

Kind of. Our whole team of 4 people have said that we'd rather work from home. We have shown that we can work from home over the past few months, too. We are just on computers all day. Far different than a majority of America so that is a whole different factor.

The question is if/when the virus mutates again..I don’t know the science behind it but hopefully it doesn’t mutate like the European/nyc strain

The mutations are occurring, but they aren’t that different from the original virus and they aren’t expecting that they will interfere with development of an effective vaccine. There is some evidence, though, that the mutated version is more transmissible.

Newport, Oregon has been hit hard by a Covid outbreak and has actually brought back restrictions after a short period of re-opening:

    https://www.oregonlive.com/coronavi...avirus-outbreak-spreads-to-local-economy.html

    ************************************************************************************

it may be the the rest of Oregon might have to follow Newport, and bring back some restrictions because our new positive case numbers have spiked:

    upload_2020-6-11_9-49-2.png

the arc is a logarithmic scale so it's kind of deceptive. We've gone from a rolling average of under 34 new cases/million to over 94 new cases/million, and done it in 14 days. That's nearly tripling the new case average, and that is pretty bad news considering how well we were doing as a state compared to other states. It isn't a function of more testing either as our new testing number have actually dropped over the last 8 days

by the way, the average new cases number over the last 3 days were the three highest numbers since the pandemic started. We didn't really "flatten the curve" like was talked about when the pandemic started. We reached a high mark, leveled out, than opened things up so we were essentially starting all over from a fairly high level on the arc instead of a flattened level of minimal cases

    Hello darkness, my old friend
"I see the numbers also, and do MUCH better than they do." He may as well have said "They don't think it be like it is, but it do." Which is appropriate, since that quote was about dysfunction (the Yankees') too.

This is the economic equivalent of "it will just go away, like magic, poof".

    Idiot being idiot.
