CNN is a much better source than Fox News.

Oh forgot to mention, in January China found 28 never before seen viruses in ice core samples from Guliya glacier. Then this happens. Coincidence? Perhaps we are seeing one of these new viruses.

Sharing sweat and breathing hard with 100 other people in an enclosed environment couldn’t possibly go wrong.

And I agree on that. It was a CDC decision though, right? I don’t know why they decided to develop their own, but I have a hard time believing that they ran it up to Trump and asked what they should do.

The Cdc is now recommending no gatherings of 50+ ppl for 8 weeks. Business and school excluded

Good luck with that. We can’t even get people to stop going out now. Try 6 weeks from now

Well seriously, Id venture 90% of adults not only want to go out, but probably need to go out. Im planning to go to work tomorrow. I may start working from home at some point but, I am so much more productive at my job when in my office.

UN diplomats claim NYC officials told them 'coronavirus has spread throughout the city and EVERYONE should assume they have been exposed - with the threat lasting until fall'
    • On Saturday the Mayor's Office for International Affairs held a briefing for foreign diplomats in NYC on the coronavirus outbreak
    • Health officials warned NYC residents should assume they've been in contact with the COVID-19 virus and the health threat could last till September
    • 'All individuals should assume they have had some contact with the virus and practice maximum-possible social distancing,' a read-out from that meeting said
    • On Saturday New York state cases hit over 700 with 329 cases reported in NYC

This will be very important to watch. China took extreme steps, ones that we will never be able to do in this country. If after taking these steps the virus starts up again in China that means this is a problem that we will be dealing with for most likely the next 9-12mos instead of 3-4mos.

    Friend from Seattle/ doctor:

You guys are probably already realizing this, but things are getting very real very fast. A hospital in Seattle has run out of ventilators for critically ill patients. They will run out of gloves tomorrow. Portland is 10 days behind Seattle. Get serious about social isolation.
We will get through this, but minimizing activity is essential for slowing the spread and making sure our healthcare system can handle it.
Also to protect your older family members.

They just closed all the schools in my state as of 20 minutes ago. We have 3 confirmed cases state wide.

My neighbor works in supply chain at Eden Hospital. She said her normally routine tasks are now a nightmare. They can't find supplies they need, and that's in a community not really hit by Corona virus. What happens when, not if, there are hundreds or maybe thousands of sick people in the region?
