Many stores still request masks. I honestly don't think I am losing my freedom in a piece of cloth. Attacks on reproductive choice, LGBTQ community, voting rights, Black people killed by police, environmental destruction hurt me. My cute Oakland A's mask doesn't.

 

It all may depend on what percentage of airborne particulates it filters.

 

Performance and shock value are all American politicians know, party affiliations not withstanding. You’ve got to wave around something shiny to distract the people you’re stealing from.

 

Walmart, Costco and Winco have more than succeeded in doing that for decades...sort of like Netflix wiping out movie ticket sales ...fortunately Guitar Center didn't wipe out any of my favorite music stores in Eugene and Mathew Knight arena didn't wipe out the WOW Hall in Eugene...some might say itunes and Spotify have hurt record sales too....changes..bound to happen. I took business courses in college and they say you need a nest egg to carry you through 3 years of economic depression to have a successful business and you need to afford to hang in there throughout those times....restaurants have always been a bad month away from closing down....that's not changed.

600,000 of the roughly 35,000,000 covid-19 cases have died. And estimates are as many as 10,000,000 survivors have long term negative side effects...

Well gee Doc, maybe if you hadn’t lied at the beginning of lockdowns about masks not working you may have some credibility. He botched this more than he did AIDS in the 1980s, but that didn’t stop him from doing photo shoots last summer and with people from outside your household without it a mask as people were dying every day alone and unable to see friends and family, or even have a funeral for those who died.

Somebody please defend this photo shoot.

Now why would some people question this quack’s credibility? He’s running around doing photo shoots with InStyle as millions were losing their jobs and going through their life’s savings. I wonder why some people are upset with you, Doctor Fauxci, it’s such a mystery...

 

My medical advise comes from the heart surgeon who saved my life...he's from India and american politics have zero influence on his judgement about a global pandemic...my primary heart doctor is also from overseas..he's from Lebanon...both of these men I trust with my life and owe my life to. Any political conspiracy bs about the pandemic is purely showing ignorance of the global medical community and acting as if Trump's administration was ground zero for knowledge....Fauci didn't tell me to wear a mask....I learned that when living in Taipei in 2003 when SARS hit the city..my Taiwanese in laws sent us a case of masks as soon as it hit the states......nothing to do with american politics either....it's science, not sales very much like helmet laws for motorcycling or seat belts in cars...it's for saving lives...not making helmet makers rich

The worst part of the show below is the Congressional Black Caucus gave these to them to wear. The CBC didn’t even know the history of the Kente and slavery in both west Africa and the West. I heard slave owners throughout history have also worn shoes and in some cases hats and gloves

I've also heard that people get asian character tatoos without knowing what they mean....and in Indian raga music they have music that is only supposed to be played during funeral processions that we tend to put on the turntable and listen to at a birthday party.....choices

 

Didn’t say anything about my freedom, and cloth masks are basically Petri dishes of bacteria after a few days and do more harm than good if not regularly washed.

Doesn’t bother me if people keep wearing masks, though. I’m in good shape and haven’t been “sick” since a norovirus outbreak at my fraternity in college years ago.

If you’re not washing your cloth mask every few days, it’s pointless to wear one and it may do more harm than good.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – People across the United States are wearing cloth face masks in an effort to curb transmission of the coronavirus.

But experts say that wearing a fabric mask for long periods of time- or for several days at a time- can allow bacteria to build up and actually make you sick.

Dr. Carlos Baleeiro, a Pulmonologist at CHI Memorial, says it’s important to wash those cloth masks every few days.

“They can be washed in the regular laundry. The best recommendation is to use a warm setting on the washer, depending on the fabrics you’re mixing with. Both the detergent as well as mild heat, will deactivate the virus,” says Dr. Carlos Baleeiro, Pulmonologist for CHI memorial.

 

If you wear a filthy mask it's on you for not cleaning it properly or using a fresh one....think of surgeons and masks and gloves...they don't reuse them...and you can microwave a cloth mask if it doesn't contain metal...if it does you can use a hairdryer to sanitize it or disinfect it. If you really have a problem you can opt for a face shield...Choices
