Both siderism is the biggest copout in the world. Don't have to take position on anything.

I suppose for an antivaxxer getting people vaccinated and mocking the Holocaust are equivalent but on Planet Earth they really aren't.

BS. He didn't lie about anything. He said N95 masks aren't going to protect the average wearer.

And data backs that up. Most people screw with it too much and don't wear it correctly. It does prevent trained medical personnel from infection though...

And we still had PPE shortages early on, with hospitals buying PPE on the black market and meeting dealers in abandoned warehouses, etc.

The only problem with these statements has been people twisting those words...

While I agree, both sides are definitely corrupt as hell.

But I support stances on both sides and vehemently oppose stances on both sides.

However, I follow data and evidence, so I naturally align with the left more often than the right.

We have a two party system here in America. And more than two political views points/stances that can be followed here. Yet, we are limited to just the two parties views. I don't buy it. I don't have to pick a side. To say that a person must pick a side, is the real cop out.

COVID cases spike by 200% in Arkansas and 167% in Nevada as low vaccination rates fuel spread of Indian 'Delta' variant across the US
    • Local officials in several states, such as Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi and Nevada, are reporting an increase in cases of COVID-19 ahead of July 4 weekend
    • Arkansas has seen a 202% rise in infections from an average of 234 cases per day to 707 per day over the last two weeks with just 34.5% of the total population vaccinated
    • Missouri reported a 53% spike in coronavirus cases 648 per day to 996 over 14 days, with some cities reporting a jump in hospitalizations by as much as 225%
    • In the West, Nevada has a slightly higher vaccination rate even though cases have risen by 167% from 247 per day to 660 per day
    • Health experts blame the Indian 'Delta' variant spreading in areas with low vaccination coverage as reports show it makes up as much as 77% of cases in some states

Pretending one political party is a force for good while the other is an evil supervillain cabal is worse than a cop out, it’s fucking deranged. Keep towing that party line for racists like Joe Biden if it keeps you in your friend clique.

No. I haven’t had anyone I know, whether directly or indirectly, die from covid. Knock on wood, not saying it couldn’t happen.
I have however lost many, many friends and family to things like cancer, car wrecks, heart attacks, suicide, drug overdoses, work accidents and even murder.
Many of those things kill more people than covid ever has or will and people still joke about them. My life isn’t built around any of those things, or covid.

    “Both-siderism” LOL.

Is that what you call people you can’t guilt trip, manipulate or strong arm into aiding and abetting your criminals of choice?

    Try “no-siderism”

I do agree the two party system is a straitjacket. Parliamentary systems with proportional representation are more democratic. Throw in undemocratic Senate, filibuster, voting restrictions and yes you can question democracy. But some are trying to make it better while others want more restrictions. And vaccines prevent Covid infection.

I think we need to pay our govt officials just like they pay soldiers in the military and give them the same perks as a soldier.....you'd see a huge flock of Senators and Congressman fleeing to the private sector in a split second..hit them in the pocketbook...I also think every party should be givien the exact same amount of campaign money from the start and even the field...and every candidate should get equal time in the debates whether they are Green Party, Constitutional Party, Independent, Libertarian, etc.....we actually have many parties but have let money have the monopoly on the competition. Term limits, low pay, equal air time....stop catering to Dems and Republicans like they're some privileged class After Jan 6th I question if we even need an executive branch anymore...replace a presidency with a council representing all parties on the ballot....govt by commitee

I think cutting the pay of congress would encourage more corruption.

For that reason I think they should be paid at least as well as doctors and lawyers.

I think it's already corrupted to the core in many ways....money is government...having more money doesn't make people more or less honest...they are what they are so raise the bar for vetting elected officials and also do what most countries do and have a 6 week campaign, debate and election instead of this year and a half fiasco we currently use that burns people out and has them talking more than working...get elected, go to work...actually be a public servant

Yeah, I completely agree with all of that. Publicly funded elections are the way to go, for sure. And the election cycle is a dirty joke.

It just seems like we'd want the best people in congress. You usually get the best people by first upping the salary.

I think that's true in the private sector but you'll often find better people in public service whether it's doctors without borders or habitat for humanity...the culture of government work shouldn't be the culture of those who can afford to play the game but those who want to do public service ...term limits would keep them from being lifetime Senators, etc.....you do the public service..step aside after 4 years and go to the private sector to get paid. I did my 4 years in the navy..got out and built my nest egg

But doesn't that encourage public servants to pander to corporations in the hopes of a cushy private sector job?

it's ok to have goals for after work, etc...but you have to set up govt jobs like military security clearances...there are severe repercussions to tampering with them...what I'm talking about requires a new rule book and vetting is part of that...it's not happening in my lifetime but I can suggest the concepts to a grandchild...plant the seed of change...I'll be fishing in the meantime
