Fuck this, we are the alpha dog country, we get first dibs on everything. If our country's industries develop the vaccine, we have first right on doses to protect our population to the fullest first.

Ok. Not sure why it matters. The bottom line is dying or not dying. What are we even talking about. If someone is out there saying I won’t get the shot because I’m really concerned about “emergency use authorization” instead of “95% dying are unvaxxed” they are Fucking stupid.

There is no argument to be made. We have legitimate guidance from legitimate epidemiologists. If we follow that guidance this ends far more quickly and painlessly.

    The evidence is overwhelming.

    well, its their choice.

They look at the chance that they contract COVID-19 and the chance that the infection requires hospitalization. The % of this is quite low. They can also look at what their current health state is, their age, their BMI, where they live, where they gather, who they are around, how much they travel, etc.

Then they determine their own risk tolerance weighted against their skepticism of the Vaccine.

It's bullshit, skewed to generate clicks. You're pushing clickbait. There, you win. I responded to your stupid bullshit "concerns".

And then when in that critical thinking process do they think about ICU beds and dying and those things? All these deep thinkers, they must cover all their bases right

“CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said recent studies had shown that those vaccinated individuals who do become infected with Covid have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated, making it possible for them to spread the virus to others.” - NBC.

Well, then you can just laugh at them and take joy in their suffering by their own decision making process.

"*BUT THE VACCINE IS PREDICTABLE AND WOULD END THE PANDEMIC, SO STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE PEOPLE NOT TO GET VACCINATED*"

I am not trying to convince people not to get vaccinated. I recommend people get vaccinated. I'm going to highlight concerns with the vaccine, as its better to not ignore them.

We need more people highlighting concerns of not getting the vaccine vs coming up with reasons to not get it. I suppose we are at the point where we have led the horse to water, but cant make him drink, and just cut our losses. Until death knocks on their doors, they won't change their minds, so this is all a moot conversation. Good work all.

We have enough people doing this, but like I said, they end up resorting to dehumanizing the other side, so its pretty ineffective.

Why do you choose to highlight (mostly imaginary or hypothetical) concerns with the vaccine but not concerns with the disease?

Or, for that matter, concerns with seat belt safety or the scourge of horseless carriages or how disgusting indoor plumbing is?

Nobody has denied that. You're arguing against nobody as though you're making a valid point... Don't you see how disingenuous that comes off?

If 5% of vaccinated can catch it and spread it, while people spread it and 90% of unvaccinated people can catch it and spread it then you're being an irresponsible asshole (or ignorant idiot) by not vaccinating (or arguing against vaccination) unless you have a medical reason not to.

Assholes are still human. At least partly.

You can only calmly answer the same questions with evidence so many dozen times before the question starts to look like an attack.

I'd like to see current stats in the real world. My concern is that the ability of the vaccines to prevent one from actually getting infected has been oversold. Its just a hunch i have, as the breakthrough cases are being more common.

Unfortunately, the CDC isn't tracking breakthrough cases. This is what happens when you stop asking questions. When you simply just "trust the experts". The same experts who change their viewpoint month by month.

It's better not to ignore a lot of things you ignore. Far more critical things. This leads me to believe your aren't being honest.

If I ignored them, I wouldn't have gotten the vaccine.

Agree, if someone does something stupid it's on them. But unvaccinated are posing a risk.
And some of what look like personal choices impact others. If you don't wear a seat belt or a motorcycle helmet, society pays if you become seriously injured.
Sitting home and getting drunk is on you. Driving drunk is not.
