Are you serious or just clueless?

Have you not witnessed the totally f'd up moves this team has made of late? The lack of talent on this roster? The fact that the "pseudo GM" and all the CSMN underlings keep touting trading the picks for vets...mind you the vets they mention are not difference makers, and many are vastly overpaid, but they would have POR trade for them anyway....

I can hear the train coming down the track and history tells me it always comes at this time....

Be prepared for some dumbass moves by POR...The ONLY hope is that a new GM comes in and is allowed (or is able to sway Allen) to do things his way....

He had a down year, so I'm wondering if Collison could be had for the #11 pick? Hill is a solid backup, but not a true point IMHO.

I think a lot depends on the final impression that both Hill and Collison make in this series against the Heat. Both have been solid so far, but neither has made a definitive case yet.

11th pick, maybe...IMO they shouldn't do it....but that would not be as bad as dealing away the #6...Not a fan of Collison at all....Would rather POR keep the assets (cap space and pick) and sign a guy like Dragic who cost them nothing BUT cap space...or George Hill....

No, coming away with nothing means not matching Batum, and then having whatever fanciful PG signing we're hoping for also fall through.

We're entering a FA market with no starting SF, no starting PG, and no starting C (and essentially a sixth-man SG as a starter). We at least have a better than 10% chance of landing a very good SF in this FA market, because we have the ability to match offers on him. Luring a high-quality PG or C here via free agency? Pipe dreams. Laughable pipe dreams.

Draft or trade for them. Use some of your cap space (that has been lessened by not cutting off your nose to spite your face with Batum) in a lop-sided trade. But handwringing over whether you can offer some player a max deal (only to have him literally laugh in your face because you're Portland) is useless.

Collison is not worth a lotto pick.

But I fully expect Chad & Co. to offer something terribly stupid.

I'm sure he's got some of his hoop knowledge from his dad, long-time assistant Brendan Malone.

Check your manual! It's immoral to trip until the bars close!

Brendan had been an assistant NBA coach before, but I first noticed him under Daly at Detroit.
