    - Rice and Wheels thinks there's going to be a trade, and a top-seven rotation player that will be brought in.

    - MB, of course, doesn't believe so and loves this group. And Rice calls him out saying MB is the kind of guy that probably didn't want Jordan because we had Clyde. haha.

Ok, so with Martell coming back, that's going to squeeze the minutes even more. Rudy was getting extra time with Roy playing the 3 but now we'll have Webster at Batum at the 3. The only minutes for Outhouse is backing up the 4. Or will Batum get squeezed out of the rotation?

I'd rather cut Outlaw and Blake, and use that money to sign two big free agents, like Artest and Miller.

    Miller/Bayless
    Roy/Rudy
    Artest/Webster
    LA/Batum
    Oden/Pryzbilla

Whatever it is, i hope bayless gets to run the team, or at least get as many minutes as sergio did.

Also hope that Outlaw is removed for a big fat banger.

The big thing I got out of it was that the team seems intent on keeping Outlaw and Blake around, barring some remarkable trade offer. KP and Nate and the gang love those two it seems.

That's what he wants us, and everyone else, to think.

Would he be any worse than Travis? At least he can rebound and play defense. Lots of teams play untraditional line ups. We could also play Artest at some backup PF.

Yes, he's worse. For one, he's even skinnier and weaker than Outlaw. Secondly, guarding powerforwards is not the same as guarding SFs, SGs, and PGs. Thirdly, he's unable to take advantage on the offensive end since he has little offensive game at all.

Awe, come on, they're almost exactly the same size. Travis has no power what so ever. He can't even take a little PG down in the low post. He's only effective against jump shooting PFs like Barnagi.

It's not like Batum will be facing many great low post threats coming off people's benches. A great many PFs these days are long athletic times, that like to face up rather than post. That lineup could get up and down the court, and could out-run people.

We'd also have other options like bringing Artest off the bench to play backup PF.

I suggest us signing two great players, and all you can say about it is pointing out the difference between Outlaw and Batum at backup PF?? If you pick more gnat shit out of pepper you might be able to make yourself a baked potato.

I was reading on another board, that there is a loophole in the CBA. If you draft a guy in Europe, and he continues to play in Europe for 3 years, you are no longer bound by the rookie scale. You can offer as much as you have available under the cap. Supposedly, the Spurs are going to try to use this loophole to persuade Splitter to come over.

Obvious caveat: I have no idea how credible the source of this info is. Just take it FWIW.

On is a description of sex. The other a racial slur created to hold a whole people down.

    The comparison is not valid.

Of course he looked like the same player as last year until Oklahoma got a coaching change.

Good point. After a year of PJ and all the turmoil surrounding the team, getting away to get his head clear was a smart move!

true. as soon as they let him play his position, he was a lot better. i actually feel like it will be the same with oden. as soon as the team really starts to use him on both ends of the floor and just lets him play, he will be a lot better player.

I don't think this is right, but I'm not sure how to prove there is no such loophole. So I'll just go to bed now.

Not really surprised Greg wanted nothing to do with Portland this off season.

Are we going to see a new Greg next year? I'd like to know who he's planning on working out with.

Almost every one of Greg's supporters has pointed to next season as his "break out year". His knee will be fully healed, he'll have had a whole summer to work on conditioning, and he will presumably spend his time this summer working on his game as well.

I hope he wants it as bad for himself as we want it for him, but I'm not sure he does.

I'm glad we have some mind readers here. So far I've only see DaRizzle do that with the Ford stock but good to know there are more out there.
