Trade rumors start to heat up as the February trade deadline is approaching. With some teams trying to move assets in order to enhance their lineup, one familiar name is again in the spotlight and that is DeMarcus Cousins. Now, reports are saying that he is moving to the Portland Trail Blazers in a 3-team, 8-player blockbuster trade deal.
Since last year, Cousins have been dragged to numerous trade deals and been a regular figure in the rumor mills. It is no secret that Cousins and the Sacramento Kings organization have a rift since Boogie expressed his discontented feeling about how the Kings runs the team and his unhappiness with the current structure of their roster.
Since he joined the Kings, Cousins never experienced being in the playoffs as the team failed to progress in the postseason every year. Rumors are saying that if the Kings continues to struggle this season, frustration might catch Cousins and will ask to be out of the team. With that notion, ideas are floated online today that the Kings might trade Cousins this early.

Yibada English, there is a buzz that a 3-team trade deal between the Kings, Pelicans, and Trail Blazers is currently in the works right now and might be discussed sooner. Trade scenario is suggesting as follows:

2. The New Orleans Pelicans will then get Omri Casspi from the Kings plus Mason Plumlee and Meyers Leonard from the Trail Blazers;
3. Finally, the Sacramento Kings will receive Allen Crabbe and Al-Farouq Aminu from the Blazers and Buddy Hield from the Pelicans.
All three teams involved need some tweak on their lineup and looking at the trade it is basically a swap of big men's for all of the squad. Some believed that the Trail Blazers got the better end of this deal by acquiring one of the dominant centers in the league. However, the haul of Pelicans and Kings cannot also be underestimated as they got solid and capable players in return.
OregonLive also floated the idea that the Kings might possibly trade Cousins right now. Comments from Kings minority owner Shaquille O'Neal also heats up speculations that Kings is really considering of trading Cousins if things will not still pan out and the team will continue to struggle.
