Wow.. I didn't realize the slight "meat check" given by Paul on that play! What a little bitch....

    True story:

I had to stop my 8th grade team from doing this "meat check" bullshit. I took a WHOLE practice getting them "physically ready" for our next game. Nothing but running and full speed drills.

    It worked.

Not sure how that's racist, since Batum (who is French) was brought up, and Chris Paul used to play in New Orleans, which has a heavy French influence, and thus he (Paul) wants to be like Batum (French), because of the influence of living in New Orleans.

If anything, it's a cheesy joke. Maybe a stereotypical joke about French people.

It's implied that French people are ballsack punchers. One should never group people together and imply that they all are anything.

But let's not discuss racist statements with white males. They tend to not be able to handle it.

    See what I did there?

Yes you made the most racist comment in this whole thread by implying that because I am a white male, which you don't know if I am or not, made a racist statement which I did not.

I assume if I had made fun of Steve Blake wanting to be a Spaniard like Rudy Fernandez it wouldn't have been an issue, Am I right?

Hilarious... I made that statement on purpose. And while you're not sitting next to me don't act like you're not a white man. The bottom line is people need to stop grouping people together and labeling them as such. It's done in here on a regular basis. Especially against French people. Arguing whether or not French is a race is semantics. That says much more about you than it does about me. Your in your first stage that stage is denial. Four more stages to go...

Frenchie was a nickname some people gave to Batum. I don't remember who, I want to say mediocre man. I'm betting that Schilly is just joking that Paul wants to be like Batum, a French person, and that living in New Orleans, he wanted to be more like Batum.

Although I think Batums nut punch came years after Pauls did.

Yes I do. Not sure how it compares (tho I tend to agree with you in regards to this subject).

Ok so here's how I see it if you go looking for racism you can trwist a lot of things into it... If that's what you are looking for. You can find hate, ugliness, beauty love and compassion too if that's what you are looking for. IN the country of France there are people of many different races, by definition as I believe it is globally accepted we can discuss it on a larger spectrum of the base level ethnicities of people descended from the African Continent, the Asian continent, the European Continent, and the Amerca's. Clearly within those regions there are also sub ethnicity, and yes even in some countries there are sub ethnicity. Now back to France since I was referring to Batum as French since he is from the country of France, and I did not designate him as being from African decent, I was basing the statement on his NATIONALITY not on his ETHNICITY. Mistaking a persons NATIONALITY for their RACE when clearly France is a EUROPEAN country and Nic is of AFRICAN decent, is not Racist. It could be deamed demeaning to people from France sure, but it's not Racist.

What is Racist is you calling my comment racist when it's not. Keep hate alive Dviss.

If you don't think "Frenchie" is derogatory you need only look further than saying darky or whitey.

People in here lost their SHIT when Shaq called Withey that instead of his real name.
