Of HCP's video clips for female newscasters / weather person the only one who actually stood sideways and showed off her booty was Mayte Carranco. OMG, that woman has an awesome figure!!!!!!!

Some of you on the right do believe in that. Some of you on the right are out and out racists.

As are some of us on the left... but my point is that the pedestal you are putting your team on is not consistent with reality.

I've heard it said multiple times is my point. I'm not just throwing it out there because I "hate" the right.

    Thanks for the bolded part.

    Edit - For Example

    Hi, papaG. (I don't have a lawyer)

Urban dictionary: "Cracker: 3. the opposite of [the N word] when referring to whites."

There is no need to talk like that here Rizzle. Comeon, you know better.

I completely disagree with Cracker vs the N word. I think "N" is a lot more hurtful because it goes back to a time that many wish to forget, while Cracker takes us back to... well... here this will explain my view....

I'll wager the left is far more racist than the right is in this country.

In regards to cracker vs. ******, I think both are fine for posting. If someone wishes to broadcast their own ignorance and stupidity, then it saves me the trouble of finding it on my own.

Labeling something as "hate speech" is nothing more than a form of thought control.

I very much disagree, as I believe is shown by minority voting and some right wing talk show hosts, and immigration policies. That is my opinion at least.

Thanks for the MediaMatters link. Next time you should read the article more closely. I was surprised when I read the first paragraph, then I continued to read and saw this quote:
He was talking about birth replacement rates for citizens. But you keep on thinking that an idiot like John Gibson represents the way all people right of center think.

Minority voting: It's a confirmation of racism. All black people are supposed to vote the same. Guys like Clarence Thomas and Colin Powell have been called "inauthentic" because they don't vote like black people should. So, race decides your political philosophy? Hmmm...sounds racist to me.

Right Wing Talk Show Hosts: Stupid things get said all the time when you have three hours a day to fill. Of course, some are just "shock jocks" looking for attention. It happens on Air America too. Every hear of Randy Rhodes?

Immigration Policies: I think you're making a simple mistake; you're confusing opposition to illegal immigration to being anti-immigrant.

Ever go to a union meeting? Unbelievably racist. Of course it's couched in economic terms, but at its core is racism. They vote Democratic.

Ever been to Chicago? Martin Luther King marched on Pulaski and commented "These people should go down South and teach people down there how to hate." Blacks hate whites. Mexicans hate Hondurans. Poles hate Ukranians. The Greeks hate the Irish. And all of them vote overwhelmingly Democratic. It's the most segregated town I know.

Let's talk about DC. How was Marion Berry elected? Seriously, it was labelled the "Fuck Whitey" vote in Anacostia.

Which side supports quotas? Which side engages in identity politics? Yet, it's those on right of center who are racist. :shakeshead:

I certainly didn't say right of center. Right wing =/= right of center.

And I disagree with your premise of saying the Left is more racist. Just because minorities (not just blacks) predominantly vote Democrat does not mean they are racist (lol). I believe it means that they believe the democratic party will better understand/fight for them. Moreover, I believe you see predominantly minority races as democrats in congress (I may be wrong, but I don't think so).

Another example, first black president of the U.S. is a democrat.

I do think that you may be over-thinking this. But we may be going different directions because I'm talking more about politics and political parties rather than specific people and their party affiliation because I don't know how people think.

Edit - But like I said, this is and opinion, i'm not going to try and change your mind. You are entitled to yours, and I am entitled to mine. Just thought i'd share the fact that I disagree (since it is a message board and all lol).

We're going to have to agree to disagree once more. What I find interesting that you're injecting race into the discussion to show that the Left isn't racist. Who cares what color President Obama is? Did the Republicans get any credit for Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, Alberto Gonzalez or pushing Colin Powell to run in 2000?

Again, identity politics, quotas and affirmative action equals racism. It just happens to be reverse racism, so in the minds of many that's okay.

It isn't okay, but I see how this could be expanded into a valid point. I think reverse racism (like those firefighters) is a problem, though I probably don't agree with what you may label as reverse racism. Again, that is just a point of disagreement between us.

In my opinion, the democrats were far less racist in earlier times, and then in the 60s, the democrats started opening up more with Johnson (even though he was supported in his legislation by many republicans). I believe that now the Democrats are a party that gives more of a voice to minorities, and tries harder to avoid racism, though it sometimes may be misguided and at times lead to reverse racism/discrimination.

And I agree with agreeing to disagree (lol).

It will be great to be able to walk up to city hall with my hands held out for help asking, "where's mine?". Blaming the NEW man for all of my problems. I lost a scholarship to a young black man in college because they needed to have a minority. He ended up stealing thousands from the school and dropped out. Maybe my children's children will be able to get a free education? Anyone know where to get spinners at for my car?

In all seriousness, I hate the word cracker. I think it is offensive and rude. I also hate the word ******, for the same reasons. My daughter gets called cracker and whitey in school, and it used to bother her, but I told her just to introduce yourself and it should stop. So now when one of the lovelies tell my daughter to "move out of my way cracker" She stops them, and says "actually, my name is Rachel, what's yours?"

What I hate more than anything is that the N word has asterics through it, and cracker doesn't. To me, that is total bullshit. Either go PC all the way, or don't do it at all.

I just saw the debate I started...Cracker is no where near a racial slur than the other major ones we all know. Cracker is referring to a slave master cracking his whip....lame people. Its also just referring to a small group within a bunch of people.

Im also half "white" for what its worth so doesnt that give me some sort of privilege? lol
