Biden accused by 2 more women of inappropriate touching

Should Joe Biden abandon potential 2020 run in wake of inappropriate behavior accusations?

Two more women have accused former Vice President Joe Biden of touching them inappropriately at events, bringing the total number of women who have complained publicly about the prospective 2020 Democratic candidate to four.

The latest accusations were reported by The New York Times. One of the claims dated from 2012, while the other encounter was said to have taken place a few years later.

In the 2012 incident, writer D.J. Hill said Biden put his hand on her shoulder, then dropped it down her back in a way that made her "very uncomfortable" while Hill and her husband posed for pictures with him at a fundraiser in Minneapolis. Hill said her husband noticed the movement and made a joke about it.

"Only he knows his intent,” Hill told the Times, before adding, "If something makes you feel uncomfortable, you have to feel able to say it."

In the second incident, former college student Caitlyn Caruso told the paper that Biden "rested his hand on her thigh — even as she squirmed in her seat to show her discomfort — and hugged her 'just a little bit too long' at an event on sexual assault at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas." Caruso, now 22, told the paper that she was 19 at the time and had just recounted her own story of sexual assault.

"It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that,” Caruso told the Times. "These are supposed to be people you can trust."

On Monday, Amy Lappos, a former aide to Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., told the Hartford Courant that Biden touched her face with both hands and rubbed noses in 2009. Late last week, former Nevada politician Lucy Flores wrote that Biden had grabbed her shoulders, smelled her hair and kissed her on the back of her head at a campaign event in 2014.

Biden's team had no immediate comment on the latest allegations.

I don't know about the second one but the first one claims Biden displayed no sexual intent. Republicans better cling to something better.

 

I'm guessing conservatives are appalled by European leaders kissing each other's cheeks as a greeting...which is Joe Biden to me ...difference between Joe on camera and Donnie off camera is one is not hiding his behavior, the other one is.

 

Joe Biden is officially creepy, whether it is his intent or not, most definitely isn't the point. If the world was on mute and we just had video, he'd be creepy. Sidling up behind people, sniffing hair, kissing heads, grabbing arms, planting foreheads...dude needs to fuck off. If it's just his personality, than his personality is creepy and he needs to fuck off. If he doesn't know he's creepy, all the more reason for him to fuck off. That rule should apply to all creepsters regardless of political affiliation and it's shameful that it doesn't. I don't necessarily agree with @dviss1 that we can't talk about one creep without mentioning another creep, but it is certainly hypocritical and shameful that anyone would support any creeps.

Is this the first time you have noted that Fox News often talks about a subject that other networks ignore? It seems to happen way too often.
I don't get Fox News in the boat, so when I hear about a subject, I try to tune in the News on TV network stations. Nothing on the subject.
Go quarry the subject on the internet, There it is, a video and blurb from Fox. Why is this?

If they were going to do this they would wait until Biden won the primary.

I can't believe anyone would even pretend to believe they did this now.

The only way this could be the Republicans is if they have something WORSE on some other Democrat and want to try to rig it so that person gets to the general election. That is possible but highly unlikely.

Maybe T-bone is Booker's real boyfriend instead of make believe.

 

I'm always inclined to believe the women. Statistically I think there's only a 10% chance that a woman makes up a story about being assaulted by a man.
