If the perception throughout the league is that we’re deceiving the Warriors during this trade., I hope it doesn’t hamper other teams wanting to deal with us in the future.
All these GM's talk. Whatever the truth is will be known within that circle. GS could look bad when this all shakes out.
I cant imagine that actual teams would think that unless we were somehow forcing GP2 to play while he was hurt and he came out and said that, it probably just didnt heal to some standard of some sort. Do the warriors have the ability to say yes or no to the trade now because he failed?
Sometimes it’s the deals you don’t make. Remember when Rockets traded Horry for Sean Elliott? Sean failed the physical, Horry stayed with Rockets and they won the title.
By the way, if he really said we didn't get any difference makers, I love it. Guys like Reddish and Knox need to have their egos broken down a bit. They both clearly have the talent, but not the work ethic necessary to compete at this level. A nice shot across the bow. As dir Thybulle, he knows exactly what he is, so no harm.
I will say if this scenario happened under oshely he would be crucified alive. But under joe it's all good. Why not hold both to the same standard?
Bingo. Why would the Blazers want to push Payton to come back early, risking further injury, knowing they have him on contract for 3 years? Why would they try and hide the injury from Golden St, potentially putting themselves in a position to have the trade voided and go into the tax despite being a lottery team? If The Glove don't fit....
As you're attempting to crucify Joe, so clearly it's not all good with everyone... Take a step back and ask how the Warriors could not know about his healthy status and why would the Blazers want to risk this trade being voided? It makes zero sense.
