I am all about free speech. That doesn't mean it is free from consequences though. And by consequences I don't mean laws. I mean blowback.

Nothing is free, you may have the right to say anything you want, but everything has a consequence. Our words and actions will always have consequences. Teaching your kid to swear or not to swear isn’t in any way infringing on their amendment rights to speak freely.

Dude. Who the hell are you talking to? What makes you think I need your life lesson?? Really??

I teach my kid what's real:

You're gonna cuss in front of your friends anyway, and I'll never be able to control that. HOWEVER, do not cuss in front of adults. Act like I raised you right.

Now, he's 11 years old and doesn't even have a desire to say a curse word.

As a grown man he will understand that he can say WTF he wants but should know when to use his filter.

Thanks but no thanks, I don't need your advice on raising my kid. He's good.

Now please, tell me how Curry saying "This is my fucking house" is gonna have a negative effect on his life? I'll wait....

Yeah that’s what that was... It was all about you and teaching you something. I think you’re reaching a whole lot here. I never said Anything about how raised your kid, or should or shouldn’t raise YOUR kid. Unless you think raise your kid however you want is a life lesson.

It’s like I said I don’t teach my kids to swear and you decided that meant I think your a bad parent because you do. Which wasn’t implied or said.

You’re the one who replied to me you teach your kid speech is free like I don’t, because I don’t swear. I don’t swear at work, or with my friends or around my kids either. It’s just a choice I made. I realize my kids will figure out how to swear and will get to talk the way they choose too.

So you must be forgetting when you said:

When I talked about what I teach my kid, it was in response to what you said...

What I was trying to convey was that I don't need to be told:

So let me get this straight, I say what you teach your kid is your choice, just like what I teach my kids is my choice. Your only response to that is "I teach my son speech is free".
I responded about consequences to speech, and you take that to be me giving you parenting advice... Then tell me I can't remember what I posted. Tell me how awesome your kid (I hope he's doing great btw), and
on top of that act like I said anything bad about what Curry said, when I said to begin with how he talks is his choice, he's an adult.

I never made the claim that some how Curry swearing on TV was going to damage the children or something. I don't quite get where your coming from.

I hope you're a good Father, and your son does well in life, and I'm sorry I guess if you took me responding to a one liner about free speech as some sort of parenting advice, or life lesson. It was merely a response to the free speech comment, not an indictment on your parenting skills...

That's the whole issue there. You seem to be thinking I'm worried about kids and such. I'm telling you that I don't need you to tell me "the consequences to speech"...

I answered that in the simplest way possible while letting you know I didn't need you to tell me the consequences...
