In a few years they should go through Ming without a doubt . . . but he is (was) a rookie, he has flaws in his game and isnt the franchise player . . . some day he will be a great center but right now he isnt even a top 10 post player, Cuttino might not fit the style of play they will have in a couple of years . . . but you could say the same for Francis

How many Rockets games did you watch this year? If you watched any you would know that Francis was the best player and did more for the team than Mobley. I cant remeber one time in Mobleys career he has ever "taking the helm" of a team. Mobley definetly needs to watch his shot selction . I think Francis is actually a great fit for Yao. Sometimes you need someone who can light it up with Yao or take the game over if need be. Francis can do that. I would love to see Mobley in another teams jersey next year. I agree with allnet 110% on this issue.

youve obviously never seen a rockets game.....

the only time in his 5 years with the rockets that mobley has taken the helm was the portion of last year in which steve missed 27 games. other than that he was always 2nd or 3rd fiddle. behind dream, barkley, the behind just barkley, and then behind just stevie. next season he'll be 3rd fiddle once again behind yao and stevie.

mobley should be moved to the bench, and he and motay would be a great offensive spark off the bench for good instant scorring.

    a lineup of

    Yao
    Eddie
    Nachbar
    Posey
    Francis

would be good with depth of

    1. cuttino
    2. motay
    3. cato
    4. PG (MLE Signing)
    5. TMo
    6. Hawkins
    7. Tito/or 2nd Round Drafted Center

Thats a very interesting starting line-up with Nachbar over Mobley. If we are willing to put Mobley on the bench then I think we should trade him and get a decent guard/SF in return. I have my hesitations that Nachbar might not be ready yet to start for the Rockets franchise. However with Norris gone we need to pick up a PG in either the draft, trade, or FA.
