Bayless is such a d-bag! Now, I do agree about the charge Dame 'drew' as a Mavs player is going up for a '3' which hit nothing but the bottom of the net. If that had happened to us and a CJ '3' was disallowed and cost us the game because of a charge call like that on Dame after the pass off, we would all be PISSED. We can at least admit that.
Slice it any way you'd like, but that was an offensive foul... refs got it right. Same foul has occurred on the Blazers numerous times, just this season, albeit not necessarily during the same late-game situation. Seemingly always occurs during a made basket, too.
Dame may have over-sold a bit - but the way the guy led with his shoulder was asking for a whistle. Contact like that will draw a flag for pass interference in a football game!
I don't agree (sorry for making it twice today). Oh, sure, we'd be complaining, but we'd be wrong. I've watched the replay enough times to see that after the pass-off, the Burk runs into Dame as he's trying to turn to get to the open shooter. The impact occurs before the shot is released. Oh, yeah, Carlisle can eat the phantom fine he lobbied for on the non-existent Lillard "flop".
I'm not disagreeing with the call. I'm saying I get where D-bag Skip is coming from. Dame overhelped, then was out of position on D and just happened to be in that spot for the follow through of the momentum from the passer for what resulted in a buried '3'. Should have been more clear.
Okay, that makes sense. Still, it seems pretty cheesy on Skip’s part to try to throw shade on Dame because of a blown defensive rotation. Someone gets lost almost every play. His comment on the high bounce three was stupid, calling it luck. Sure, Dame wouldn’t likely be able to replicate the bounce, but I’m pretty sure that making the shot is what counts and Dame can definitely replicate that around 40% of the time.
It's GOTTA just be for television, right? Dame had an awesome game leading into the final couple of minutes. Then he hit a big three, had a wonderful dribble-drive assist for Whiteside's dunk, and he drew a foul at the end of the game. And the Blazers won. A bit lucky? Sure. Who cares? Luck is part of the sport and he put the team in a position to win with a bit of luck. Thank goodness.
And btw folks relax, this is all entertaining, Skip been playing just a role in his career. I'm sure when the camera is off, he's a completely different dude
Why would you make that assumption? There are plenty of douche bags out there, especially in the entertainment world and even more so when you get to the top rung of things. I'm pretty sure Skip Bayless would be a pain in the ass to be around. Just read some of these articles. https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf...gEEMjMuNJgBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXo&sclient=psy-ab
Just saw this video on youtube. it's old, but it's funny how pretty much it addresses the same exact thing Skip did this week.
