^ thank you I'll try to go in to detail in what I meant so I won't affend the Mavericks fans too much That was last year. Why did Dirk bring it up? I mean just go out there and do your thing this season. I didn't think the Finals last year was fair but what happened happened. No use in bringing up the past and getting Wade angry. Now he really wants to burn you. Don't say we let Wade score because of Shaq. Shaq struggled that whole series. It was Wade who beat you. Deal with it and go out there and compete this year.

Dwayne Wade had 97 FTA in the Finals, that is really.....unheard of imo. I can't say I remember anyone in the NBA who has ever had so many FTA's in 6 games. The Finals was pretty ridiculous and I can't see how some people are defending the Heat winning that. It was obvious B.S. calls and I'm not even a Heat or Mavs fan. This is pointless though, the Finals are long gone and arguing this wont help anyone or anything.
I have to say, those are some ridiculous calls. I guess I just have a hard time sympathizing with Dallas, because it always seemed to me that they get similar calls. Particularly Nowitzki. A favorite move of his is to drive into a player and then flail and shoot, drawing the foul. That 's essentially what Wade was doing throughout that series. He just happened to be very good at it.
The call was made guys. I may have been a little unfair, but the foul was still there. It just wasn't as hard as you guys would have liked. Get over it, all your whining isn't going to change the call. And as people have been saying, Dirk was getting ANYTHING he wanted, so for Wade to get that call, seems fair to me.

Refs make bad calls all the time. Wade recieved more calls that series and at key moments. The NBA is messed up when playoff games end unjustly (Such as LeBron traveling in his first round matrchup with the Wizards; Dirk getting calls at the end of game 7 of the WCF; and such).
^^Agreed, but complaining and saying the foul didn't occur won't change anything. The refs make mistakes, and it sucks when your team loses because of them. There was a foul, if I was a ref would I have called it? Hell no, but those refs did.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For Christ sake, Wade set the record for most FTA in a NBA playoff series. If you let him get into the lane, you're obviously going to pay for it</div> Honestly I'd say the ref's had a lot more to do with that then Wade...Last year if someone looked at him wrong the whistle was getting blown..Same deal with LeBron. It's got to be quite comforting to Wade that he doesn't really have to drive and get a makeable shot, he can just drive and throw it up, the refs will take care of the rest.
As a Warriors fan, I've been lucky enough to see my plucky team best the Mavericks at a suprising rate recently, and while I can't argue that Wade got some marshmellow calls, my sympathies are lessened when I consider Dirk Nowitzki. One phenomenon of his game that you get used to when you root for a perennial loser is that he has a definate air of entitlement when it comes to fouls. I've seen him argue for foul calls in some of the more demonstrative and cocky displays in my recent memory. Overall, though, I guess I was pulling for the Heat. I was kind of hoping for Gary Payton to retire ringless, but hey, that's my trip.
