    If we aren't #1, you're a joke.

Oh wait, you'll justify Orlando being better than us.

    No not #1 yet.

    1. Celtics
    2. Cavs
    3. Magic
    4. Spurs
    5. Lakers

Lakers magically dropped down to the 5 spot after the recent stretch of games. Sorry, but that's just how the formula works. Go educate yourself, idiots.

The Lakers are top 7, maybe. Rip Hamilton was amazing off the bench yesterday, Pistons could go on a streak... :O

    Lakers aren't even top 10.

Fluke wins. Cavs would have won if the Lakers' didn't lock down LeBrick.

Cavs still don't have a quality road win.

Yet despite that, their still 0.03017586 dabullz points better than the Lakers. :NOTMARIS: (For Now)

The Lakers/Cavs are pretty much even right now as far as the formula is concerned, with the Cavs having a very, very slight advantage over the Lakers at this point.

I don't really know how to interpret the formula in terms of how a series plays out, other than it says the Cavs will beat the Lakers in the series, but I would assume with it being only the number above difference, it's a game 7, fourth quarter, Lebron James game winner type of close.

You're formula is broken. The Cavs have zero road wins and the Lakers have a better record. If they met in a 7 game series the Lakers would have homecourt advantage and since the Cavs can't beat quality teams on the road they would lose the game 7 played in LA.

How can you post here and expect us to take your rankings with a straight face? They're a joke. The Lakers' have beaten Boston both times this year and handled the Cavs both times this year. There is no reason why the shouldn't be number 1. I thought Hollinger was an idiot

How are the Lakers NOT #1?

They have the best road record in the NBA, they've beaten the Cavs and Celtics (your 2 and 3 teams) twice, both with and without Bynum, they've got wins over everyone in the top 10 except Orlando...there's really no reason to not have them #1. Your formula needs some help.

Why? Because the Lakers are at #2?

They're at #2 because of their suspect defense.

At a D-Rtg that is currently at 105.5, they would be one of the worst defensive teams to win the championship. Definitely the worse in the past decade.

The 94-95 Houston Rockets, who went 47-35 had a lower D-Rtg at 107.4 were the last team to have a worse mark. That was a long time ago, and with the rule changes, isn't entirely relevant to today's NBA.

It just hasn't happened in recent NBA history that teams with that bad of defense have been winning championships.

But the Lakers do have a great offense and have produced in wins, and that's why they're so close to being at the top.

No its time to start from scratch because common sense is lacking from it.
