It's possible, but I think if he, say, misses 135 games over the next two years (which is as many as he has the last two)... I think at some point even dumb owners would notice and say, "Hey... do we want to trade for a guy that has barely played the last four years, and is owed $125,000,000 over the remaining three years of his contract?" Again... maybe. But (in this worst-case scenario) I think it would be unlikely.
I don't think Dame is a great GM. I don't think he is very good at picking guys to play with but i could be wrong.
For the record, I absolutely want to see him play in Miami and win a championship...Cannot lie. I'm a fan of him and a fan of fun basketball. Dame, Butler and Bam would be fun basketball.
Boston is deemed as a contender. If in Feb, they see themselves in the vicinity of play-in instead of HCA, you best believe Jalen Brown will be available. I'm not that high oh him, but he is better than the Miami package
Actors, athletes, and musicians...I just want to be entertained and love the visual representation of the pursuit of excellence and creativity. May sound hokie. I just don't give a shit about the drama and behind-the-scenes (except for things like rape and other acts of violence). Tom Cruise, may be bat-shit crazy, but I'll still appreciate his work if it's a movie I enjoy. Just a random example. Dame seems to be going through some shit, and that's for him to deal with, and I hope he finds what he's looking for.
Dear God the Heat fans in the comments are so atrocious. They will kick him to the curb in two years.
Totally understandable position. For me, once Dame made it a business decision, the Blazers should also make it a business decision. Eye for an eye. I appreciate your take though. We are all different.
I wasn't paying close attention to the NBA in the early/mid 90s. What was the general concensus when Clyde won the chip. Were Blazer fans euphoric?
I honestly got into Blazers basketball during the Sheed era. Ask an old-head. Or at least an older one, cause I am not exactly a spring chicken anymore.
From my piss-poor memory, Drexler became pretty nasty...Just erased his time with the Blazers when he left. People wrote him off.
