Well, as best I can estimate, there are 8000+ posts (so far) about Dame being traded. So what happens when he suits up for the Blazers? Is there some sort of intervention required on behalf of fans? Do we need to start a "Teams Dame will not be traded to" to avoid some sort of temporal rift? Will we all just pretend that elephant is and has never been in the room? Inquiring minds want to know.
If we don't change course by trading some of these young valuable players for win now guys, even if Dame suits as a Blazer again, it won't be for long.
If the Blazers can't get back a player like Deandre Ayton, or a "haul" of assets, I'd rather have Lillard on the team. At least until the trade deadline. See how it goes.

I am the eternal pessimist myself and expect everything to cave and Portland is hosting a shit show until the trade deadline. I take solace knowing we can do the Ayton trade outside of a Dame trade, so when judging the inevitable trade, I will back Phoenix out and see what we really get for Lillard sans Phoenix.

Maybe Barry thinks if he repeats it for long enough, more people will believe it is true regardless of facts. "refuse"....what a joke.
They want us to give them arguably best player in franchise history coming off his best statistical year who is under contract for the remainder of his high performance years for their 3rd/4th best player (one we don't want or need) plus scraps. People keep bringing Dame's contract and emphasize how much he will be making at age 35-36 to make it negative when you should really look at how much he is paid for the next 4 seasons. He can be excellent to very good in that span. Players been getting 50mil/year left and right these days, making you raise your eyebrow.
Have to believe that Toronto is a legit threat because of all the anti-Toronto smoke coming from Dame's mooks and the Heat fanbois.
