Let me explain this, yet again.

    Lillard gives team ultimatum, PUBLICLY.
This tanks our ability to make a deal.
We get shit offers, that are completely unacceptable.
    JoeCro doesn't demolish team.
    Lillard asks out.

So, which of the following do you believe:
    1) Lillard is a Fucking Moron, and couldn't see he just destroyed our ability to make a trade.
    2) Lillard is a Snake in the Grass, because he knew how this would unfold. In fact, it was planned.... possibly by his agent.

These are the only 2 options - he knew or he didn't know. Which one do you think is the answer? I think it was option 2. He wanted out, but didn't want to look like the bad guy....

and several of you have actually fallen for it.... and now, he doesn't just want to leave, he wants to go to a specific team - total bullshit.

Of course, maybe I'm wrong, and he's just a complete moron.

I don't think they did, based on Dame wanting out, their actions at the deadline, draft, and free agency (they've done nothing to take a "win-now" direction), and based on what I've heard.

Lie like" I want to retire a blazer"? or how about lie about being against ring chasing then demanding a trade to the team that lost in the finals and ring chasing? Lie about loyalty being important then showing you are not a loyal person?

    People probably won’t like this…

But this trade with some future picks (which aren’t great… MIL doesn’t have many to trade) frees up a lot of future room on the length of contract difference, and brings us back our guy Patty C.

Dame said if he could play with anyone he’d want to play with Giannis.

I think the Bucks should perhaps at least be part of the conversation. Maybe a candidate for a multiple team trade situation.

So Dame wanted to win here but felt like he needed to put pressure on the front office to get them to go along with that, and you don't wonder why that is?

You don't question the narrative that Joe Cronin is helpless and outleveraged in every single negotiation no matter the situation?

We're falling for a dude who's solid and keeps it real, over a guy who directly contradicted his own statements in the past three months and who's action don't back up his words?

Man oh man. What a sad day this is.

Good Grief... your constant whining and sniveling has prompted me to unsubscribe from Blazers Uprise... and now you bring it here. What you should do is put together a resume of all your great takes and send it to Burt. I'm sure he would be more than thrilled to have you on board with the amazing knowledge and business acumen you demonstrate.

You're the one guessing because you're taking Joe Cronin for his word when his actions and own contradicting statements say that's a mistake.

    Nice.

Let me rephrase the question, if you were Joe who would you have tried to pursue with the 3rd pick?

Trying to spin this as Dame is somehow a victim here is laughable. They made him the face of the franchise from day 1, have given him every possible dime, and the fan base treated him like a hero. He's decided all of that isn't enough. Fine, but he created this separation.

Another option: He told the team privately, and it was leaked by a self-serving moron.

My gut is that Joe has wanted to rebuild since he took over, because most of the moves he has made were clearly with rebuilding in mind. I think he knew he couldn't just trade Dame, and Dame wasn't coming right out and asking for a trade... so I think he did everything he could to put Dame in a position where he HAD to ask out.

All the fans who have already turned on Dame would not have turned on Dame if Joe just shipped him out a year ago. Or at the very least, this became the plan since we got the third pick and Scoot.

Torrie, Dame is the bad guy here. It's eerily similar to the following 8 situations.

    1. Shawn Michaels' Betrayal of Marty Jannetty: In one of the most iconic betrayals, Shawn Michaels superkicked his Rockers tag-team partner, Marty Jannetty, through the Barber Shop window, solidifying his transition into a villainous solo career.
    2. The infamous "Urkelbot" storyline from "Family Matters." In this episode, the lovable and nerdy character Steve Urkel creates a robot version of himself called Urkelbot, who initially helps around the house. However, Urkelbot eventually goes rogue and wreaks havoc, betraying the trust placed in him.
    3. Stone Cold Steve Austin Joins Vince McMahon: Known for his rebellious anti-establishment character, Stone Cold Steve Austin aligned himself with his arch-nemesis, Vince McMahon, turning his back on the fans who had supported him throughout his career.
    4. One of the most infamous acts of betrayal in history, a group of Roman senators, including Brutus and Cassius, conspired to assassinate Julius Caesar, their former ally and leader, due to fears of his increasing power and ambitions.
    5. Sgt. Slaughter Supports Iraq during the Gulf War: In a controversial storyline, Sgt. Slaughter turned his back on his American patriotism and became an Iraqi sympathizer during the Gulf War, betraying his fans and embodying a villainous character aligned with Ira
    6. Anakin Skywalker's fall to the dark side and transformation into Darth Vader. Just as Anakin was initially seen as a heroic Jedi Knight with great potential, his thirst for power and his desire to control his own destiny led him to betray his Jedi brethren and embrace the dark side. Lillard's trade request similarly represents a shift from the image of a loyal star to a figure willing to betray his team in pursuit of personal gain.
    7. Diamond Dallas Page Joins the nWo: Diamond Dallas Page, a beloved fan-favorite, shocked the WCW audience by turning his back on his friends and joining the nWo faction led by Hollywood Hogan, betraying the fans and his reputation as a blue-collar hero.
    8. Delilah, enticed by a promise of wealth, betrayed Samson by revealing the secret of his strength—his hair—to the Philistines, leading to his capture and imprisonment.

I know the threads are long, but if you actually read them before coming in here like a tornado like you do from time to time, you'd see that a lot of the stuff you're bashing other people about already has been discussed in a much more nuanced way. It's not just bumper stickers and sound bytes.

If you can't see that Dame's fumbled this in a lot of ways then you just plain aren't being objective.
