In general, when confronting a bully/asshole, there is no need to put hands on them. Most are cowards pretending to be tough guys and will back down when confronted.

If both, report it as both. Again, reporter being too quick to get a story out to present the information correctly. Happens too many times and corrections never fully fix misinformation.

 

It' didn't need to be corrected. He did say a racial word. Not sure what the debate is about.

 

If you want an accurate headline, something like "Fan being an Asshole - Dame Tells Him to Stop".

That would seem to cover all bases. Whether he used a racial slur, a gay slur, or both, the guy was being an asshole and Dame called him on it.
