Love Nances game, total team player who does pass up shots because he wants the best possible shot each position. Extremely unselfish

Btw would rather trade CJ but Dame still gets you a haul, and sets your franchise in great position for the future

Not until we get a permanent GM and decide if we can compete. We're just a trade or two away from a balanced roster.

I'm ok with trading him if he wants to try winning elsewhere. But we should keep him until he makes that decision.

    Build a dominant defensive team.

Simmons and Dort would be my best-case scenario foundation for an iron curtain defense

Dame plus Embiid and Harris makes those Draft picks in the 20s and not worth much.

That trade is even less realistic now then it was before the season. Why would the Blazers want a player who claims he is unable to play because of crippling mental health issues? On the flip side, the 6ers barely were interested in CJ when he was still seen as a good and reasonably efficient scorer. Why would they want him in his new persona as a high volume/low efficiency gunner?

    Hello darkness, my old friend
For the same reason that most/all teams wanted Kawhi Leonard who claimed he was unable to play because of crippling back issues. Because everyone knew he was lying to leverage a trade. Whether that's fair or ethical or moral is beside the question--the question most GMs will ask themselves is whether Simmons will make their team better, which all depends on what they have to give up. I don't think CJ will ever get it done, but I guess we'll see how all this resolves.

That's a really useful tool when wondering about where draft picks are going. Philly has no first rounders besides their own. I think based on a report that came out after Dame said he wasn't sure about his future, right before the Olympics... that we could get Ingram, Hayes and multiple first rounders from NOLA for Dame. I want to try and build around Dame and not trade him but if you went the rebuild rout you could take that trade from the Pelicans. Then you could take a pick or picks, package them with CJ and RoCo to the Sixers for Simmons and filler. You would get the best you could for Nurk.

Ant, Norm, Ingram, Simmons and Hayes with Larry, Nas and our vet min backups might be a better team than what we currently have but even if I could get it done, I'd like to try with Dame if he wants to.

And if he is sandbagging the 6ers, why would you expect him to do something different with a new team? Toronto got very lucky.

I get the feeling his 'mental health' will dramatically improve the moment he is traded.
