Some interesting things about February. His three point shooting is roughly the same as January (.386), but magically, his two-point shooting has jumped from .459 to .512! I wonder why... oh look! His FTA's went up from 5 to 7.85 per game! Huh, weird seeing him suddenly get to the line a couple times more per game, since he was snubbed as an all-star.
He won't keep up his current "February pace. Not from deep anyways. But how exciting is it to see yet another improvement in his game? His drives to the basket have been incredible. And that running bank shot he has been hitting lately from about 5'-7' feet out on the right side, when he is well covered? Damn if he has mastered hitting that shot, from that tough angle...
Actually, he probably can; he's just feasting, err beasting right now. His overall Feb 3p% is the same as January's.
I saw that some announcements were posted as early as 3 pm eastern. They're probably trying to find a way to give it to Davis.
Re: Curry. He is ridiculous, but I'm not sure how good GS is without him. His +/- is a fair bit higher than the teams, and the eye test during the game was that they sucked when he wasn't playing.
Yeah, Damian's biggest improvement is that the fucking refs are calling more fouls and giving him free throws instead of a missed shot in the stat sheet to go along with all the bruises he accumulates.
I like that he drew that Harden-like foul on Curry in the 1st quarter when he hit that 15 footer after leaning sideways into Curry. Saw him coming out of the corner of his eye and made the smart gamble. And the hip touch three-shot foul in the second half. Great stuff.
Gotta play the game the way it's called. It's not my favorite aspect of the sport, but it's nice to see us getting the benefit of it.
I really wanted Livingston a couple years ago too. Crazy how he immediately fell off as soon as he went to GSW.
