I haven't watched much... But why is the pick & roll not working to get them both infinite points and Dame 20 assists ler game?

    Are they not running it?

they have been running it, and Dame has about the same frequency of PnR as he did in Portland. His efficiency in this play type in down a little but he's still over the 90th percentile. Nurkic had flaws but he was/is damn good at setting screens.

Milwaukee's coach has been running Dame off the ball a lot so Giannis can run the offense. The problem is, or at least appears to be that when Dame is off the ball, Milwaukee has trouble getting the ball to him in good shooting situations. Dame's usage and FGA are significantly down this year; you'd expect that playing with better players, especially one like Giannis. But you'd also expect with Dame playing off the ball more and getting more off-ball screens his assited FG rate would be up. But it's not: his assisted FG rate is 25% this year; last season it was 32%

I'm not sure Milwaukee's rookie coach can figure out a good synergy between Giannis and Dame. Clearly, that's the job Stotts was hired for, but oh well. It will probably be up to Dame and Giannis to figure it out

Stotts was hired before Dame was traded, no?

Yes but it's unclear if he was hired before they made the decision on the trade? I have wondered about that very thing?

The scoring is about where I figured with so many guys needing the ball on that team, but I really thought the assists would be higher.

I think Giannis is bringing the ball up a lot, so Dame isn't getting as many opportunities to create opportunities for others as he used to.

Giannis had a triple-double with 10 assists last night. Dame had 9 assists. 19 assists from your top two players is pretty strong.

That's one game. I'm talking about his average for the season. 8.7 is good but I really thought he might get to 10 per game on this team with so many weapons.

Dame wants a fucking ring. The dude isn't a stat chaser and is just going to do the best he can to win with his new team filled with far better players than he's ever had around him. I'm hoping they win the in-season tourney and the NBA Finals. Go Dame!

Dame will put that team over the top. He's an incredible end game superstar. The Bucks are just getting started. If they stay healthy and the coach actually pans out, I wouldn't bet against them to be in the mix come playoffs.

Kind of surprised but I'm pretty indifferent to what Dame does this year in Milwaukee.

I think his and his groups antics on his way out kind of burned up the goodwill I had for him when he isn't wearing a Blazer uni.

I care 10x more about rooting against Miami and against the Warriors; than what Dame does or doesn't accomplish.

Who knows maybe I start to care much more one way or another actually watching some IST or playoffs.
