I think most people are over LA. I didn't care whether or not he stayed - I cared about the asset and what we'd do with said asset, whether that means keeping him as our starting PF or acquiring different assets. The fact that we did not acquire assets (outside of cap space) for LA is what disappoints me.

Life will definitely be worse in the short term. This isn't a team that's going to be the second seed, or ranked in the top 5/10 in offense and defense, at any time next year. However, it seems as if the prospect of keeping LA was just untenable. Realistically, starting over and rebuilding has some appeal compared to being held hostage by a player that is an enigmatic as LA.

It does suck that we were unable to get anything in return for his departure, and I do think that's a question that we should be asking about.

I stand by my theory, btw, that LA drove Zach out of town.

You and me both brother... But it already happened and we got a great leader on our hands. I wouldn't be surprised if we bounce back pretty quickly

I've believed that theory since I first heard it years ago. Given this theory, and what we know now after years of speculation, I feel it's irresponsible that management allowed Aldridge to carry on the way he apparently had without putting him in check. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't; if they did, it obviously made no difference.

Microscope. I pour pepper on it until it sneezes, grab it with tweezers, and scope it.

I think LA played into it, but I think management likely knew they didn't want Z-Bo around our young Big-3.

It would be real interesting to hear Roy's take on all this.

One thing we possibly could blame the coaching staff/management on is pushing this guy to be our leader when it's pretty clear now he didn't have what it took to be one. But maybe that was just another attempt to keep his ego satisfied which might've lead to him staying here. Man fuck aldridge!!

It wasn't Aldridge. That was what was the start of the 'Shorts' thread that went 200+ pages before they had to shut it down and take it off the server.

The rumors all these years we suspected is definitely true. I don't know how he plans on fixing his issue in San Antonio when Spurs fans would take Kawhi over LA in a minute. Once Duncan leaves and Kawhi and Aldridge are left, it will be very telling. It all makes sense though. We always saw how close everybody else was on that group the last two years but LA was always absent from that group. Seemed he just pushes people away with his trust issues and insecurity. You can't turn down commercials and then get mad when Dame takes them over. Can't be mad when you aren't marketable at all and your personality is ridiculous. Woj reported that Blazers didn't know for sure until last night. Seems he took us for a ride knowing he wouldn't come back and did it to spite us. i wouldn't put it past him. After all he had no desire to thank the fans at all. Probably wont say anything. I wish I knew what Dame and his conversation was about and what LA said.

Not sure he cares. He could probably be part of the organization if he chose to.
