He’s talking about Grant 100%. Also cool that he keeps mentioning Ingles. He at least sees the value in him as a player.
And attended Cal, if I remember right. So, if you're using KJ as a parallel for Dame, Oakland or somewhere in Utah would be his likely political destinations, not anywhere in Oregon.
The only parallel I used (go read my post) was maybe like Johnson he could become mayor. Maybe he becomes a member of congress like other hoopers have?
That might be what you meant, but it's not what you expressed... "He owns this city, he could could be the next Kevin Johnson and become Mayor someday." That strongly implies Mayor of Portland, by beginning it with owning this city. Not a big deal either way. I just don't get people being unwilling to admit they misspoke.
And of course the producers from the same show/podcast want to create more controversy now with this headline.... so now when Portland makes a pick, they can use this garbage to try to push him out again. Let's not forget that in this same clip, Dame is talking about Phoenix landing Ayton in the draft to add to their core on their rebuild.
Clearly, you don't understand the concept of misspeaking. Knowing what someone meant has nothing to do with it.
The Joe Ingles part is very intriguing for sure. I honestly did not think he was going to be staying but even an interview Joe gave was a different story.
the issue is...when will he be ready? https://www.si.com/fannation/nba/fa...ury-stanford-study-nba-players-return-to-game https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3806178/ so then, how realistic would it be to expect 35 year old Ingles to return-to-sport less than a year after his surgery? A year would be around the first week of next February
