2 1/2 years of amazing 3 point shooting. 4 months of game time where he has struggled.

Which one is the bigger sample size here?

Dame is who he is. I don't want him to change his style. We loved that style two years ago. I think he was hurt last year, it damaged his confidence, and he's still working his way through it. We have 2.5 years of him being a really really good shooter, and only .5 years of him being a bad shooter, so I think your "pretty large sample size" isn't large enough.

Yeah but its still a huge volume of shots over a long time period. Its been longer than Aaron Afflalo and Tim Frazier were and have been Blazers; we formed opinions of them. They hardly play any of his minutes. This isn't some 5 game sample. Plus all the stories of how his finger could physically rotate in disgusting ways and Blazer injury history has many of us a bit scared his funk is permanent.

Was there ever any updates on his finger(s)? Are they still like that?

Heard that he confirmed at media day how screwed up they were last season and could rotate.

That's disgusting.... I had read something on Reddit about a guy who met him after a game and saw his fingers were completely screwed up. I'm just wondering if they've healed or if he got some kind of treatment on them.

i didnt see anything really concerning from dame at all last night to warrant any bashing :/

everyone came to play last night, the only question could be is if he is in form enough to carry the team when a few people are 'off', guess we'll see.

and yeah a couple of WTF 3's outta nowhere early in the shotclock and miles away, but i think they were 'heartbreaker' 3's in that if they went in off the back of a little run would rekt the other teams morale, which im actually ok with.

can't wait to see how things go with the full squad back n fit, we seem to have a lot of guys that can and want to play, gonna be keeping a few balls in the air to keep people happy, but its all about sacrifice - would hate to be Stotts tho......

There are basically two or three posters who are hyper-critical of Dame. The rest I think appreciate what he does for us, and were objectively evaluating what they saw.

I agree with the 'good god...just constantly bringing it up..." It gets old, especially the implied presumption that his shooting is never going to come around so he should just stop shooting the ball, period. That can't happen.

I didn't see that one poster who likes to harp on Dame's passing make an appearance this morning to discuss Dame's 11 assists.

I am very glad to have him, my one criticism is forcing those late game shots, like to see him cut back on that. If he has a good shot then take it as he will get his stroke and confidence back, just don't "force" it

Whenever I think, "That wasnt a great shot selection" I then quickly remember that we had Raymond Felton the year before and and realize that I will take the worst version of Dame over the best version of Felton any day.

And that is also due in large part to the fact that on Dame's worst day I know I can count on him to always try to get better

Yeah I thought he had a good game, hardly something to bash him over. Love the eleven assists. Sure he may have forced a shot here or there but A) he always has a couple times a game and they often go in B) sometimes they almost seem by design just to get the game tempo up. Within reason, I want him forcing shots near the end of the game. He's our best player and that's historically been Lillard time.

The guy is a terrific player, he just makes too many bad choices. Too many three point shots taken. You say "slump" and I say bad choices. He has no need to take those shots.
Last night, I saw a great play from Lillard, a behind the back pass to Leonard, who drained the mid range shot. Assist to Damian, the first I can ever remember seeing with Meyers as the shooter.
Great! let us see more! A few moments later, Leonard blocks a shot, they get the ball to Damian and down the court in a rush, Leonard running like deer to the rim, Damian pulls up and I hold my
breath! A clear pass to Meyers is there, for the jam, but Damian takes the three point shot! Clank! Leonard tips it but not good. Fast break opportunity wasted on an ill advices three point attempt, passing up an possible jam assist.

If I were coach I would have jerk his ass off the court and made him clearly understand, how he just fucked up! Yes the man can play, 11 assists is nice, 3 more would be better, especially with 4 less misses from down town.

Odd, I thought he had a great night - wouldn't have expected any criticism.

3 more would have happened if those players (meyers) had made the shots.

    So, that's Dames fault?
