As soon after the draft is over, there was a press conference talking about

Drafting Scoot Henderson is the biggest move we could have done tonight.

Two days later, the rookies, headlined by Scoot was formally introduced by GM and coach, all with Jerseys. They even invited Scoot's entire family.

Blazers Instagram posts about Scoot like a teenager boy posts about his dreamgirl.

IF we are willing to trade Sharpe for just any star, Sharpe would be gone by now. There is a short list of players Sharpe is available for,

    Jokic/Embiid/Giannis/Wembanyama/Banchero

And I'm glad Cronin didn't trade Sharpe just just any star.

Also, Dame approves of Shaedon. He made Sharpe as an exception during his exit interview, discussing about young players.

Havingbsaid those things, I don't believe Sharpe and/or Scoot are being traded.

But I could be wrong. I've been wrong many times.

I must express my utmost disdain for the utterly nonsensical notion encapsulated in the phrase "the truth hurts." To suggest that the truth itself is inherently hurtful is not only idiotic but also reveals a deep-seated misunderstanding of the nature of truth and its role in our lives.

Truth, at its core, is a reflection of reality and objective facts. It exists independently of our desires or emotions. To assert that truth is hurtful implies that it is responsible for inflicting pain upon individuals. However, it is not the truth itself that causes distress; rather, it is our subjective reactions and attachments to certain beliefs or illusions that are shattered by the truth.

The discomfort that arises from confronting the truth stems from our own insecurities, cognitive dissonance, and ego defenses. It is our resistance to accepting reality as it is that leads to emotional turmoil, not the fault of the truth itself. Blaming the truth for causing pain is an act of intellectual laziness and a refusal to take responsibility for our own reactions.

Moreover, the notion that the truth is inherently hurtful undermines the importance of truth-seeking and intellectual honesty. Embracing the truth, even when it challenges our preconceptions, is an essential part of personal growth and societal progress. To dismiss the truth as painful is to perpetuate ignorance and stagnation.

In conclusion, the phrase "the truth hurts" is nothing more than a feeble attempt to absolve oneself of the responsibility to confront reality. It disregards the transformative power of truth and undermines the importance of intellectual integrity. Let us abandon such foolish idiocy and instead embrace the truth for what it is—a catalyst for enlightenment and personal development.

    Both from yesterday...

Yeah it would be a disaster if the Blazers trade either Sharpe or Scoot. They are worth much more to this franchise than Dame.

If the Blazers want to flip Ant for Draymond or Cam Johnson then fine - maybe it helps the team win now and even if it becomes a mistake its not going to be a huge problem that harms this team significantly beyond the 3 future seasons - the last of which is a flexible expiring contract.

The biggest point I agree with Dame is no more cost cutting ducking the luxury tax moves. If the Blazers keep doing that crap they'll never win a title regardless of Dame or whoever is here.

How long have they owned the team and how many of those years did they do "that crap". Not sure why fans are giving them shit for it the last two years. I certainly would have done the same unless it prevented obtaining a difference-maker. Did it?
Serious question..... why was that wrong?

Duh. Doesn't fit the narrative that it's all Jody's fault.

Blazers have less talent and less assets because they cut costs. They have Eric Bledsoe contract on the cap next year even though they ultimately were way under the luxury tax so had no benefit to stretch him. Same for Didi. They accepted the crap Clippers trade to cut costs. They let Hart go to cut costs. They let Ingels go to cut costs. They let trade exceptions expire for nothing. They refused to sign a backup center over 6'8" to cut costs. Theres many more, this is just off the top of my head.

It was just stupid moves that prevent the team from acquiring talent during the prior seasons, and give the Blazers less ability to acquire talent today.

I don't understand how you can't see such basic elements of an NBA team. Maybe your just playing devils advocate or maybe you don't grasp these simple elements of the CBA.

Lmao. I stop reading after you said they let go Hart to save costs. They traded Hart because it was clear he wasn’t going to resign and we got the Knicks pick out of it.

    nice try though

Yeah, I've heard there's a new theory that the second shooter was on the logo, not the grassy knoll.
