The original post said A big (aka a center) vs a small guard. Do you think the fact that Jokic is a big man is what makes him better than Dame?
I believe it will be after the pick is made, but tonight. Essentially the Blazers will be drafting for someone How much is Dame worth to Portland?
That's not what he said. He said A BIG. Do we call Durant "a big?" Do we call LeBron "a big?" I'm not talking about height. I'm talking about position. Jokic might play center, but he doesn't play the game like any center I have ever seen. He just happens to be chubby and slow, otherwise he'd probably be a forward.
I don't think that's true at all. I think MM thinks it's futile to try to build around Dame. Are the suitors for Dame or the assets they can offer going to change between July 10th and the trade deadline?
I don't think anything gets all of my crazy out but the meltdown that I had on multiple threads yesterday definitely calmed me down about the draft. There are a lot of ways today can go and now I'm just enjoying the ride.
I am going to put this here cause it does tie in with Dame maybe asking out but I was thinking who could Dame MAYBE accept being a rookie without asking out so the percentage is that he would ask out : Scoot -- 80% -- Kind of simple they play same position and not a fit together Miller -- 50% -- I am not sure Dame is sold on Miller so I think Miller would have to really impress Dame kind of the same thing Sharpe had to go through Amen -- 45% -- I think Amen is a wild card cause he has skills that could be used like defense and such IF that can translate day one if not then not sure I still believe even IF the 3rd pick is kept Dame will not ask out right away he will wait and see IF anything else could be done but again we have to rely on Cronin and again that does not inspire confidence at all.
The problem is that it's like building a car that's so expensive that only a handful of people can afford it. We have to find a team that: Dame wants to go to Has the assets that we want There's no chance in hell that we're sending Dame to a team he doesn't want to go to. No chance in hell. We're not taking that PR hit. So how many teams are good enough that Dame would want to go there, but also have the young players and picks that we would want to make the trade?
Dame would then have a choice. #1 go to a team he doesn't want to go to, or #2 wait until we find the right return for him on a team for which he does want to play. I think he retires a Blazer. Of course, that's nothing but a guess.
I have a feeling that if we do take Scoot, Dame will be gone by training camp. I don't think the team will want the continued bad press of a unhappy Dame. I think the team will want to turn the page. I would go hard at Brooklyn and try to get a bunch of their picks.
it only took you 24 hours to recover? shit when i melted down earlier this week i had to take three days away from here to get my sanity back. This place was driving me nuts. Lol.
