yeah...it was SI's April Fools over 30 years ago. And it wasn't 100 MPH...it was 168 MPH https://www.si.com/mlb/2014/10/15/curious-case-sidd-finch
Roy Hibbert. Two time All-Star. All NBA defense. Fell off a fucking cliff after Paul George was rumored to have slept with his girlfriend. Dude just completely disappeared. Never the same player again.
Mods, can we please remove this asinine, troll happy, Dame hating thread away please. PLEASEEEE, with sugar on it.
Its not troll happy. Dame straight up applied pressure to the team with his press conference. Dame still could ask out in the future and I would expect him to next year if we don't add any legit talent.
sure, lots of the tweets and shit in this thread can be irritating (unlike me) but it's real easy to ignore the thread and not check the last page of posts
I forgot to mention that Lowe was talking about at this moment. The whole piece also had a long section talking about where Dame would go if he did ask for a trade. It was more about why Philly wouldn't trade Simmons at the moment because they are praying for Dame.
https://www.sportsnet.ca/590/writers-bloc/adrian-wojnarowski-shocked-raptors-trade-siakam/ Even Woj at the end here says Lillard has not asked for a trade and the Blazers are not inclined to trade him.
Their really isn't much news on this. Reports while Dame was in Japan said he had committed to giving things with Chauncey a chance and that if the team wasn't at the level he needed that he would ask for a trade by the deadline. That's what I'm assuming is happening with Dame. Even if he asks for the trade I think that it could stay unreported and Neil might try to push it to the draft. All we know is that the same jokers who were acting like he would be traded any minute are now saying that he won't be traded anytime soon. I'm inclined to believe that he won't be traded anytime soon.
Could be Olshey, could be other teams that are trying to trade for him. Could be anything, but it seems like a direct shot at someone. Cryptic Dame at it again.
that is certainly plausible. obviously, it could have nothing to do with the Blazers, and I have no way to determine the context in which that tweet was made but if you assume that Dame doesn't trust Olshey, and that Olshey is talking to Dame a lot about his plans, that tweet packs some heavy burn kind of seems similar to Dame's "sucka dodging" tweet shortly after the Stotts firing presser
ive been seeing these posts from him thinking they're directed at Olshey and this game of chicken where it seems like Neil is daring Dame to make a trade demand. Then there was the article from Quick with this quote from a Blazer source: "No one yet is convinced he will request a trade, and as one executive put it, “I don’t think he wants to leave. He has built an empire here. But we have to assume he is leaving to make sure he is not leaving.” I dunno, maybe reading too much.
