Yeah I am slightly leaning towards the Pelicans offer. They have the #10 pick in this draft I believe and a ton of future picks. One thing I will say is that if we blow this team up it is important that we get a game changing big man alongside whoever the all star is. Of course that can be had through the draft in the next few years

I'm leaning towards keeping Dame and trading CJ and whatever picks and even Nas to Philly for Simmons. Then I'm leaning towards finding the best 3 and D PF or C that we can get for Nurk.

I don't see why we're talking about trading Dame when all that we've heard is that he is pissed about social media backlash but we got one of the coaches he wanted.

Randle is trending on Twitter and it seems to be because of this:

Lots of Knicks fans are saying that RJ Barrett is too much to give up and Quickley has similar numbers to Dame as a rookie...

Meanwhile I'm not sure the prospect of going to the Knicks to team up with Randle is what finally drives Dame to demand a trade...

If they get Dame those picks are gonna be trash cause he's gonna make them playoff contenders in a shitty eastern conference.

Knicks Fan is delusional. Quickley's stats are no where near Dame's as a rookie. Quickley was uber inconsistent, and his playing time varied a ton because of it. Jayson Smith, a Fox Sports Radio talent, is a huge Knicks Fan. He brings up that compensation a lot. But says maybe they wouldn't have to include Barrett. I almost drive off the road. I'm like You'd have to include Randall and Keys to MSG Foo. Dream on. I do like his show with mike Harmon though. They're funny guys.

So true. Draft picks in a Dame trade would be gahbidgeeee. He would make a team so good, those picks would be glorified 2nd rounders. Top 5 picks aren't a guaranty these days. That's why you never want to trade your generational talent, unless you are getting a generational talent in return.

Not sure if this was already posted but this was posted at Lakersground lol:

Portland gets Michael Porter Jr / Dennis Schroeder/ Aaron Gordon + Lakers 1st round pick and Nuggets 1st round pick

Denver gets Kyle Kuzma / Convington / Nurkic / THT

    Lakers get Damian Lillard

I get what you mean 2019 but the Kemba talk by Zach Lowe gives me a little bit of hope especially if we can re-route him to the Blazers after we trade for him.. so potentially the Blazers could be getting
Kemba Walker / Kyle Kuzma / THT and other fillers while potentially getting OKC’s 16th pick and our 22nd pick + the late distant 2027 pick

Lakers fans need to accept there isn’t a single trade on the planet that the Lakers can make to get Damian Lillard. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. They’ve got less assets than us, which is reallllllly impressive.

And yes, that includes Anthony “slightly more durable than Zach Collins” Davis.

The thing about the rumors of the Sixers wanting to put a package around Simmons for Dame or the Clips offering PG13 for Dame is that if those teams make those calls we just pivot into talks for CJ. We make it known to them that Dame is untouchable but we just happen to have Dame Lite on our roster who we are open to trading. Philly puts a bunch of young assets around Simmons in the Dame trade and we tell them to keep those assets and take CJ for Simmons straight up. The Clips want Dame for PG13 straight up or with a little sweetener from them and we say no but we can give you CJ and picks and Nas.

So these teams wanting Dame might be a good thing because it gets a dialogue going and finally the fact that Dame and CJ are so incredibly redundant works in our favor because we can volunteer CJ as a lesser version of what they were calling for in the first place.

Good take, I think teams will be looking for offensive gun slingers that can get hot and create havoc with the Ball. Look at Young, small, isnt great defender, but creates and scores in bunches. He does distribute the ball well. I think CJ can play similar role and if playing pg could distribute the ball.
Knicks Philly would be ideal teams for him now that everyone assumed CJ is gone.
