He's really using that incredible leverage he has being under contract for another 4 years. Next thing maybe he won't retweet something of ours. Please stop Dame!! We're very sacred of your awesome social media powers! Or maybe you will challenge Jody to a rap battle!

Don't you think it's a big deal? If his trade request is about basketball/winning, he wouldn't unfollow. This feels personal

Sure but not BECAUSE of Damian Lillard. Huge difference. If you remember he only played 87 of those 164 games.
Did I really have to type all that?

Dame's impact on the team the last couple of years wasn't just his stellar play in just over 50% of the games, but his massive contract keeping them well over the cap and hamstrung making moves on anything but fringe FAs. They weren't winning with him and that wasn't going to change. Do I really have to remind you of the definition of insanity?

I called my sister every day for almost 20 years. When she passed from covid two years ago, I was the last person other than her husband that spoke with her. She died suddenly.

I can honestly say I treasure our last conversation. I doubt that "I treasure her last text" has the same meaning. If it does, how sad. I can still picture her voice as we spoke the last time. Never had internet on my phone. I live a full, rich, fulfilled and happy life. Here is my work phone.......

In the last 4 seasons......137-173. It's not like this is just a very recent thing. Dame has individually been very good on offense, but it hasn't affected winning for the team and was/is the largest salary by far on the roster. That comes with some expectations as would anyone who is paid that much for any team in the league.

There are tons of reasons, excuses, or justifications for the 'why', but it has just been the sad reality of the franchise for several years now.

I think due to him calling his own number majority of the time takes away other players out of there rhythm with there shots plus Dame is a big liability on defense. No his not the only reason we lost last year but when I pay someone 40 to 60 million dollars a year I expect a two way player not just a scorer. You would think with 2 other 20 points scorers on the team you would think he would average more then then 7 assists a game. I rather watch a team that's plays as a unit by moving the ball and player movement and still might not win nightly then a team that's all they do is go one on one. The bench was just terrible last year also another reason the team fail last year. But remember this when there winning all you here Dame this and Dame that the reason there winning but you got say the same thing if the team loosing too it goes with the territory when you make so much money and go out every night to gets his points. Bottom line I am not big fan like some people in here is again just my opinion. Is Dame really good basketball player the answer is yes I would be lying to say otherwise.

My prediction I don't see deal will done with him before the season starts. Miami just took a player away I heard Portland was interesting in with this trade. There has to be a third team involved to get what Portland wants to make this deal go through and Joe maybe not going give his franchise player away for just peanuts.

    Which time?
    • When he signed his first max contract extension in 2015, instead of waiting 1 more year to reach RFA, or 2 more years (if he had taken the QO) to be a UFA?
    • When he signed his second max contract extension in 2019, instead of waiting 2 more years to be a UFA?
    • When he signed his most recent max contract extension in 2022, instead of waiting 2 more years before his player option?
He has never once even come close to being able to "walk for nothing". To claim that he somehow "did us a favor" by accepting max extensions is blindly ignorant revisionist history to the extreme.

I just ran the numbers looking at the last four seasons in aggregate.

Blazers Record: 137-173 (0.4419 winning percentage)
    When Dame Plays: 111-109 (0.5045)
    Without Dame: 26-64 (0.2889)

I understand that we were trying to tank several of the games without Dame... but that is still a huge discrepancy. To go from ~30% win percentage to 50% is astronomical.
If anything this underscores the load that Dame has been carrying.

Funny how the further along this goes, the more Damian comes off as a massive hypocrite.

I don't think this is a big deal, at all.

Requesting a trade was a big deal.

I follow Dame on IG and I do not think he is doing the reposts on his stories. There are more than 80 reposts. I don't think Dame is taking the time to do that, I think someone helping him market his album or even some kind of program that just reposts every post about his album is doing it.

I’m starting to think this guy doesn’t understand human nature. How does this help anyone accomplish anything?

You've had a fulfilled life because you DON'T have the internet on your phone?

I will go as far as to say that BECAUSE I have the "internet" on my phone..... it has made my life more fulfilling and happy. Keeping all our family together.

Any success we've achieved over the past 11 years is due to him, plain and simple.

I'm ready to let him go, to the Lakers for a 2nd and salary filler, anywhere but Miami. I really, REALLY hope we don't trade him to the Heat. If we do then everything he has done will become the standard operating procedure in the league and will further make it a have and have not league, which was already the case. Sell the damn team already Jody!
