I was more referring to it being a 1 point game going into the fourth and at that point we looked terrible given up i think a 14-1 run, it was closer than the final score and we all know it. This was kinda more my point. CJ just is not helping to carry the load right now, frankly not many are and definitely not consistently. I expected his game to take a little jump this year just from experience and confidence. We've seen the confidence but not the improvement SO FAR I dont think last year was a fluke for him and if by 2017 were not right around 500 then be worried but for now, its growing pains. just gotta keep remiding ourselves to have a little faith Stotts will coax it out of them little by little.
I vote we remodel the fountain downtown to put a large Dame statue right in the center and the fountain can be like him letting it rain down constantly...
His work in the Dallas game 11/4 was smooth. In the 4thQ, he produced a running floater at the foul line that was textbook in mechanical technique.
33.2/9.0/9.7 He averaged a triple double for 4 games . He was bound to regress and has already started. BNM
33/9/10 is essentially a triple double. You're pushing an agenda if you are seriously trying to discredit that.... And it's not like he hasn't been close before. Last season averaged 24/10/8, which is pretty damn close. I love Lillard as much as the next guy, but outside of being arguably a better scorer, Westbrook beats him at every other aspects of the game.
Nope. Lillard is a better 3-point shooter, a better leader, a better decision maker, a better clutch performer who turns the ball over a lot less. Westbrook is a hero ball playing choke artist. BNM
Not to me. Sounds very accurate. Dame is by far a better leader and three point shooter. look at the TO numbers and Dame is obviously a better decision maker. Not biased. Just reality. Dame has 17 TO's so far. Westrbick has 32. Sounds like YOUR a bit biased.....just sayin...
We'll have a better idea how each player and their respective team is doing after a healthy 20-game sample. Currently, the Thunder are 5-1 while our Blazers are 3-3. Who would've thought the Thunder would start with a better record than the Blazers after 6 games?
So what if it's biased? That doesn't mean it isn't true. Tell me which of my points you disagree with and why. You can look up the stats on the shooting percentages and TOVs. They are HIGHLY in Lillard's favor. We've all seen how many clutch shots Dame has hit. There is such a think as Lillard Time for reason. Westbrook time = blowing 15 4th quarter leads last season and blowing a 3-1 lead over GSW in the WCF. Go back and watch some of those games and see who is completely dominating the ball, forcing up bad shots and making tons of unforced TOVs. And this was on a team with Kevin Durant. At least this year Russ will have the excuse he doesn't have anyone to pass to. Why do you think Durant left OKC. He knew he'd never win a championship with Westbrook playing hero ball. He didn't want Westbrook pissing away the prime of his career As far as being a leader, Westbrook totally threw Kanter under the bus in game 4 of that GSW series. He yelled at his coach, during live action, on national TV to yank Kanter. He put his rookie coach in an awkward position, and Kanter, who had been absolutely dominant when OKC beat SAS, barely played the rest of the series. They sure could hve used Kanter's scoring and his offensive rebounding for all those bricks Westbrook laid. Finally, this the the Damian Lillard Appreciation Thread. If you want to prop up your boy Russ, start your own Russell Westbrook Appreciation Thread. I'm sure MarK Jackson and all the other Westbrook fanboys would love to join you. BNM
