In no way am I anti-Dame, but this OP has to be created by someone too young to have seen Drexler in his prime let alone Walton. STOMP
Oh the "he's too young" narrative. Because it's not like highlights and full games of walton or drexler aren't available on youtube or NBA tv. Okay...lol
So you watched a bunch of peak Drexler or Walton and decided Damian is anywhere near their level? Okie doke.
Can you read? did I ever say that? I said by the time he retires which is years down the line that I believe he will be the greatest Blazer ever. Which means titles, records, etc. Where did I ever say Damian tops Walton and Drexler at this very moment? old people...
I love Dame, but he has another 10,000 points to go before he's even considered the Blazers all-time scoring champ.
Is that so? depends on what you base it on. Titles or numbers. Drexler holds majority records , got us to finals twice. No titles. Some would say Bill Walton is the greatest Blazer of all time based off of the title he got us.
I didn't get a chance to watch Bill Walton play regularly as a Blazer as I was too young at the time. I watched him play later on and win a title with Bird and the Celtics. But I watched The Glide play with our Blazers beginning from the start of his career until he was traded to the Rockets. Personally, Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter are easily my picks for the greatest Blazers of all time. Those early Rip City 80s/90s teams were fun to watch although heartbreaking during the Finals. Heck, I even go to meet and talk with Clyde on several occasions as he made himself easily accessible to the fans.
I read only the thread title, not the thread, but I assure you that Lillard is not the greatest Blazer of all time. The thrills he provides have been provided by many other stars over the last 47 years, and unlike him, many of them were on elite winning programs.
WELLLLLL SIR within this post you will find that I am saying that this is what we will be calling him when he retires years and years from now
