Yes! Now that's a Fair statement. The Blazers need to move forward towards the prize. Moves must be made to strengthen the team. The WHOLE organization MUST get better. But Neil's britches are on fire. He's got to be getting to work to get it done. And i'm sure he knows as much.

 

neil never said this was a championship roster, though. he said we should have won in the first round-- which is 100% true.

 

Either do something, or get me out. It's as close to an ultimatum as possible.

The pressure will actually turn into something else if Olshey doesn't actually do anything.

I still think that many underestimated Dames respect for the organization and fans, he would be very considerate and professional if he wanted to move on. He wouldn't allow a circus to speak for him, he's that kind of dude.

 

Dame expects to be in a Portland uniform next season. That eases my mind a little. Although, management can fuck it up.

This is a short lived celebration. A trade request is around the corner if we don't get this man help. May not be this year but could be next year or the year after.

I have no confidence in Neil to pull off a deal to keep Dame happy.

My take is this --- He is committed for this year but he is needs HELP NOW and he is putting the pressure on NeO to TRY and get something done ASAP or next summer then he will prolly be asking to move on.

I really hope NeO really listens to Dame and not just say what he wants to hear cause I could tell Dame is very annoyed and i might even say upset that it has even come to this .

 

if Neil doesn’t put together a better roster a rebuild would be better anyway. It’s now or never for Olshey and the Blazers.

Where in my post does it say anything about "championship roster"? You've been doing that a lot lately....you're a better poster than that.

 

You guys are smart and don't need a translation but my thoughts are this. If Neil doesn't make a major move on draft day that significantly improves the team, Dame will demand a trade with Neil. We will not hear about it at that point because both our front office and Dame are good at keeping their mouths shut but that is what will happen and Dame will be gone.

Neil has to make a significant move to upgrade this roster to a contending level and Dame is not content with Chauncey being that upgrade. So we better see fireworks at the draft or we can expect to start the season without the best dude in the game leading our team.
