I don't. I don't think they're even remotely the same person, however I remember how sure people were about Aldridge and if anything that taught me that you should never be that sure about anything.

He already said in his last press conference before the Olympics that he hasn't asked to be traded, and of course he would love to play with an athletic big. What quality PG wouldn't? Simmons is pretty damned athletic. Jus' sayin'.

They do so regardless of what evidence would lead them towards and I'm not talking about evidence from "the man" or other possibly biased sources. These days people seem to be willing to believe and doggedly stick with beliefs that are completely contrary to any information they can muster or logic. It's a bit of a scary time when sensationalism is more powerful than information, especially when there has never been a time when people have access to so much information from so many verifiable sources.

here's my logical read in all this in trying to sum up all the news/rumors/interviews.

    1. Dame wants a legit chance to contend.
    2. He wants to do it Portland.
    3. He has been internally pressuring the FO to take more risks, but they have previously resisted (or haven't truly gone all in).
    4. The way to address their conservative approach is to apply more pressure, this time through the media.
    5. He realizes that has no leverage having signed a super max and is under contract for 4 more years.
    6. He and his family are fully committed to the city and they can't simply uproot everyone (he bought his mom/dad houses, bought acres of land for a farm/compound of sorts, has a ton of cousins working in town in various professions, sister who went to and played at Lakeridge high school, brother who coaches football at Jefferson, fiance who started a business, etc, etc)
    7. We know Dame is a family guy and will not want to be away from them, especially when he's about to get married and has three kids.
    8. The one bullet he has to continue to keep the FO on its toes is hinting of a trade request/demand.
    9. He can't fully back away and all out deny that if he wants to maintain a level of pressure.

If the rumor is true he referenced watching Giannis who plays most of his time at the 4.

If dame wants to play with an athletic big man he should first learn how to throw a lob pass lets keep it real.

you shoulda seen the pass he threw to KD on an inbounds play from the baseline last night. Went about 6 feet above Durant's head. I've never seen a PG this bad at alley oops.

Which is funny because I never considered Damon Stoudamire a great point guard, but he threw some nice lobs to Sheed. I think Andre Miller was the best lob thrower we have ever had.

I agree with most of this.

I just think that Dame is nearing his breaking point with organization (ie Neil & Jody).

andre miller might be the best lob passer in nba history.

also, marcus camby was better at this than dame is.

Man... I loved having Dre. I wanted him on this team since he was with Cleveland. It's too bad we got him at the twilight of his career.

And it's too bad Roy had beef with him.

    I was definitely team Miller.

Cue up the gif of Miller taking out Blake. Arguably a top-ten all-time regular-season Blazer moment.

I thought he was reported to have said that about enjoying playing with Bam. I don’t think it was a rip in Nurk or a mandate to Olshey. Geez, every single thing Dame says or is reported to have said gets parsed into a million different points of view. No wonder he’s not saying much now.

I think parsing out every little hint we can is where a lot of us are at with this Dame situation. It was both watching Giannis and playing with Bam according to sources. I do think if he's made that desire known to Neil that Simmons fits the bill beautifully.

It's Henry Abbott's sources again, though. It's hard to take the hints seriously when they come from True Hoop, and that's where they keep coming from.
