Cj could absolutely be dealt for a player that fits better.

I'm not angry at all, nor am I having any meltdowns. I haven't said Olshey ruined the entire organization, just that he impacts the success of this team more than the coach. It seems you want to say Olshey is handcuffed, but don't want to take a step back and understand why he's handcuffed.

Who do you think is responsible for all the players on this roster, our cap situation, and our past/future draft pick situation? I don't think saying Olshey is responsible is that far fetched.

lets hope simmons & klutch want out and dont want to go to the blazers, so it makes the blazers unwilling to make that trade

sure, he could get traded elsewhere, but for now, lets get rid of the biggest problem

Harris will be expiring in a year or two. They will be better able to get players to come for cheap than Portland.

Such as? Give me an example--any example--and I'll guarantee a compelling reason why the other side might not be interested has already been posted on this board, likely multiple times.

i seriously doubt dame talks with his family about what hes going to do, unless its 100% done deal and theres no going back, so his brother possibly took something out of context, maybe dame said something like: "im not happy, were not good, this is going nowhere etc" and then his brother made his conclusion, which can, but it doesnt have to be the right one... dame has been very diplomatic, he sees himself with the blazers next season, but hasnt made firm decision on his future

Dame lying publicly? What? He made it pretty clear in his interview before leaving for the Olympics he wasn't ok with our roster staying the same. It pretty much has. And in his mind probably got worse without Melo who he adored.

If you trade CJ for a comparable player and want to remain competitive you'll trade Dame for something similar and should also be able to remain competitive

I tend to agree…Dame will not play games. Seems he would have asked by now if he wanted out this year.

if we trade cj mccollum for siakam and dame for simmons, im not sure simmons, powell, siakam and nurk is competitive team... defensively could be great, but not enough offense in that team, none of these guys is good for a leading role

Possibly even more able, if CJ is able to elevate consistently to the level of play he's demonstrated whenever he's started at PG in Dame's absence.

He said he isn't talking to the media about this stuff anymore, just Neil. So who knows what he has and hasn't said to Neil.

I tend to believe that what a couple of reports said is true. Dame promised to give Chauncey a chance. I think that means if he is really pissed, which he should be, that he'll give the team a month or two; if they haven't made a blockbuster deal get him all star help or aren't blowing away the competition with this current roster, he'll ask to be traded by the deadline.

Who the fuck knows? Maybe he's gone tomorrow for pieces to go with the rest of the current roster (yuck!), maybe he's gone tomorrow and the roster is completely turned over by the beginning of the season, maybe he's here for the rest of his career or just gets strung along until next off season. I sure don't know.

in the last couple of pages, I'm seeing a few people excusing Olshey's inaction and some others start to trash Dame for yet another rumor

Dame might be thinking with fans like these, who needs enemies

If the fans are furious about our offseason, I can only imagine how Dame feels.

I could see that team being an 8 seed.

People who identify as Blazers fans but trash Dame are fucking idiots. People that do that have absolutely no impact on Dame. Not on his attitude. Not on his future plans. They just don't have an impact on him. He's said as much. Give Dame some credit and realize the vast majority of Blazers fans worship the guy and he feels it... he's said so as recently as that presser before Japan in relation to the Kidd/Billups blowback.

    Simmons/Powell/Siakam/Roco/Nurk is an 8 seed?

I guess there would be a leadership vacuum there, but I'd love to see other teams try to score on that squad.

    On the other hand...

If we can trade CJ for Siakam, there would be no need to trade Dame

I love all your speculation. I get it. “I think this.” “I don’t think that.” I get it - part of being a fan.

None of you have any real clue what the reality is, and I’m not going to burn time trying to carve through this mess of speculation, social media comments, and media speculation.

I’m going to follow along, watch the bickering and brief meltdowns, and enjoy my popcorn and wait for something real to happen.

In the meantime, I’m enjoying that you guys have learned little from all the rhetoric and misinformation in the political scene and haven’t made the correlation it’s happening across the sports scene, as well.

    Giddy up, FAMS!
