    Hello darkness, my old friend
He may not be "Mr. Endgame," but if he's consistently left open throughout the game, James and Davis will find it tougher sledding playing 4-on-5.

so getting to the western conf finals for the first time in 14 years didn't make you happy? that sucks...I was thrilled to see it..and we did it with a one armed center who was fasting and Evan Turner...

This is like being happy that Cindy Crawford went on a pity date with you and ended the evening with a hug and a handshake.

by this logic, most teams (and fans of said teams) don't even get a hug and handshake.

I'm always having a good time when I watch the Blazers play because I'm a fan and it's sports. So even heartbreak, when it comes to sports, is still just fun in a way. At the same time I want my favorite team in all of sports to have more to hang their hat on over the past decade than being swept out of the WCF. So yeah, I had fun watching us get past a bunch of banged up teams and I even had fun being furious at how pathetic we looked against the Warriors that post season but again, I have fun every season.

What's not fun for me is to have a GM that talks down to everyone and won't do anything substantial to get us further than being swept out of the conference finals and usually not making it out of the first round. Unfortunately I think Dame feels the same way but we'll have to wait and see about that. I just think it's a dangerous game not taking him seriously and assuming he'll stick around despite a lack of improvement, when he already said he's weighing his options.

I've pointed this out before but since Olshey took over our team 15 teams have logged a win in the conference finals and we haven't been one of them. That's 15 out of 30. So we're in the bottom half of the league when it comes to conference finals wins over the last nine seasons. Us and Memphis are the only teams that have made it there just to be swept out. I just don't like being grouped in with those other teams... I'm not satisfied with being tied with Memphis. More so I'm not OK with 15 other teams being more successful than us.

Before Olshey we hadn't made a conference final in a decade and a half....I'm ok that we got to one a couple of years ago and have had a long run of making the playoffs...now it's time to take the next step....you don't need to be OK with the team...that's on you though, not those who suit up and go to battle season after season..I'm proud of the Blazers over the last decade. We can be better and I think we will...otherwise what's the point? We aren't the dominate franchise in the NBA? Welcome to Blazer land! We've always been the underdog team...I was happy for the Bucks last season...they had a 50 year drought or so.....go underdogs! We've been the Bucks of the west for a long time.

I would rather not go on a pity date with her and hit the gym/work on myself so that one day she might actually want to smash. That stupid "pity date" set us back several years. Kept Stotts around. Kept the Dame/CJ marriage going. That pity date quite possibly fucked us over in the Dame era.

Dame..."I've already won. I have everything I ever wanted.wealth.a 14k sqft mansion..a beautiful wife who's my best friend...8 siblings and cousins who all live close to me.My mom around the corner..a boat on the river..every car I've ever wanted...an organic farm that I'm directly involved in..a Toyota dealership...a massive Addidas deal around the corner....the keys to an NBA franchise..3 children...playing hoops with my best friends, a recording deal and access to Paul Allen's hollywood studio....an Olympic gold medal...all NBA..multiple allstar nods...big movie role in Space Jam 2....now since we got beat by Denver I better move to Philly to get a little tiny ring....give up all my empire to chase it and go against everything I've preached since.. being here....greatest Blazer ever.." as if twitter is going to impact his life that drastically...nah

Nope. We had no chance against the Warriors.

It does not appear to have made Dame happy for that long either.

It is easy enough for a fan to say he built an empire and should kill his soul.and accept the fact that he won't really have much of a chance at a title in his prime. For people that work their entire life to get to where he is aren't generally wired that way. He wants a ring. He won't get one here.

I'm thinking things will evolve one way or the other after this coming season? There still could be a move or two that could help get us in contention?

you actually believe this or is just sensationalizing a bit....there's no reason we can't do exactly what the Bucks did but everything has to fall into place..that's the fun of the journey...the championship keeps guys working..to get a shot. No reason we can't win one here at all...all these ultimatums are just fan driven. Lot of hype over nothing really.

Not really. I would love for us to win one. I'm not a pie in the sky person like you typically are. That's fine. Given who is our GM is, the fact that we are Portland and guys don't want to come here that are different makers, and the lack of assets we have, isn't going to happen for Dame here. Certainly not in his prime.

Chris Paul after many teams and coaches and rosters just got his first finals at 37 and fell short.he chased rings with superstars..has nothing to do with his greatness and stellar career...and 37 is also a bit past a pt guard's prime as well..Dame is only 31..he absolutely can win it all in his prime..Chauncey didn't win his right away either..Norm and Chauncey have rings...that's winning culture

37 isn't prime. Cp3 had to move teams and played with a former #1 pick in Ayton and an all world player in Booker. Dame has never had a teammate as good as Booker. We won't get him a Booker unless its in the draft and with Dame on our team the likelihood of having a high enough pick to get someone with that kind of talent is very unlikely. We had our shot and took Collins instead of John Collins, Bam Adebayo or even Donovon Mitchell (all guys still not as good as Devin Booker)

my pt is CP3 got a shot at a ring at 37....Dame just turned 31...it's not desperation in the Lillard tragectory to win a chip...he has many seasons to try and I'll enjoy watching that unfold I never said Paul was prime...the point was that Dame's not past his prime or even close to it

Pretty obvious based on his press conferences his frustration is growing. He may have more seasons to try, they likely won't be for us with Olshey content to trot out teams with no chance at winning a title.

to be fair I believe we were up by at least 10 every game, and then they clamped down and Stotts had no adjustments
