I don't know why the Warriors would want him at this point. It sure seems like they're all done.

Yeah, I don't see how we can sign Draymond with the MLE. If he gave up 27 million his agent has to have a 3-year deal for around 20 at least. Which is fine because I don't think his skill set translates to every team.

He loves Dame. If there's a free agent that Dame has been recruiting, it's Draymond.

    Ant, Keon, Nas for Ayton

3, Nurk menage a trade for Zion

Listen, IF Zion can stay healthy

    Dame
    Shaedon
    Grant
    Zion
    Ayton

    Thybulle
    Reddish
    free agents

That COULD be a very good team. Would literally need to add nothing but defense and rebounders in free agency

If New Orleans is willing to trade Zion for the 3rd pick and randoms that should tell you all we should know about Zion's health/desire to get healthy.

I'm still extremely confused about how Zion's salary can be traded.

not sure if Portland has the salary to do all that, but maybe? It would have to happen after July 1 because of Zion's PPP right now

    Zion + Ayton = 66M in salary

66M/1.25 = 52.8M....Blazers would have to come up with that much outgoing salary:

    Anfernee Simons $24,107,143
    Jusuf Nurkić $16,875,000
    Nassir Little $6,250,000
    Kevin Knox $3,000,000
    Keon Johnson $2,808,720

    about 53M!

it would have to be a 3 team trade so the Blazers can aggregate all the salaries and throw a blanket over the deal

    ?

right now, he's poison pill and there's an almost insurmountable differential in trade credit imposed by the poison pill. But that vanished after July 1 and then he's just a 33.5M salary...on a fat ass injury magnet

Gotcha. So if we were gonna trade for him, it would be after 7/1.

yeah, it would have to be. I'm doing this from memory but I think there's a differential between the credit the Pels would get and the debit Porland would receive of 21M. That's a huge differential and Portland does not have nearly enough filler to plug that hole

Thanks for the breakdown. IF and when that team came together, they’d be good. Still hoping for Miller

we don't agree on Dame but we do agree on not trading the pick and my thinking is that Miller would be the best outcome for that pick

I think if they take Miller, Dame will ask out, and we’ll get less
