I've really been wanting to eat at Oscar's Steakhouse at The Plaza for the atmosphere. If you watched Back to the Future 2, that is Biff's Casino.

I almost made a rez for Andiamo at The D, which I heard is pretty good for steaks.

The go-to in Fremont is to get some Hawaiian food at the California Hotel though. Oxtail soup or some Saimin.

Evel Pie also has some great pizza by the slice down there.

Some of the off strip Tiki Bars are really good too. Great way to get plastered before a night on the town, and you have to take uber everywhere anyway.

Top of Binions is great for steaks.

The California has cheaper deals to fly to Hawaii from Vegas then you can get from Portland. Hawaiians love that casino.

If you plan to get booze for your room, the CVS and Walgreens on the strip jack up their prices a little bit. Its cheaper than other spots, but off strip places are cheaper. May be worth to hit up an albertsons or something if you want to stock your room with snacks, water, booze, buy sunscreen, etc.

What I do sometimes is I go to the CVS across from where the Hard Rock Hotel was (Paradise and Harmon). They had a big ass selection because...it was across from the Hard Rock Hotel. Uber there straight from the airport and then uber to the hotel.

The cab drivers are fucking crooks in Vegas. Take Uber/Lyft when you can.

    Yes, all of this!

    Never take a cab.

The Stage Door isn't bad for buying booze and it's close to where Tupac got shot.

The MGM casinos do surge pricing in the casino gift shops. If they're busy the price goes up for everything.

If you want a cool experience, get a reservation at Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris out on the patio. Its across from the bellagio fountains and the food is pretty good

my wife and I are leaving this morning for a camping trip to eastern Oregon (5th wheel). Won't be Vegas but we will pass thru Burns, OR. It has it's charms, I imagine, but I haven't discovered them yet. We'll pass thru Seneca too, and on the way home will stop at a dump station west of Burns. I'm sure all of you are looking forward to updates from that dump station. My wife has Hagen Das in the freezer and I have vodka in the cabinet . We won't take a katana but will have a 9mm (for mosquitoes obviously). Eat your heart out El Pres.

There's some asian owned liquor store chain called Lee's. I've been once, but honestly, I'd rather just go to CVS or a grocery

Heading to Vegas on Saturday for 5 nights. Staying at the mgm.

going to be a heat wave. Around 115 Saturday and Sunday. Needless to say we’ll be poolside acting silly quite a bit. Pedialyte in the mornings plenty of water and lots of booze

When you check in you have a folded $20 sandwiched between the DL and your CC and you pass it to the clerk and you say, "are there any complimentary upgrades available?" If there isn't they will pass the $20 back to you.

It's worked for me multiple times in Vegas and have gotten upgraded to a suite twice at Mirage and a corner suite at Luxor.
