We were barely missed by the eye wall. From the things I have heard from the few who stayed it doesn't look good. Bodies floating, houses destroyed, ppl stranded. I still have not heard from my family who stayed in New Orleans. The things I have heard make me worry more and more. Please keep all those who are stuck in harms way in your thoughts. pray for them. We will keep you posted.
It looks like I'm the one who gets to dance with Katrina next. So far, it looks a lot of rain with some stiff winds. I think the fear is that the atmosphere might heat up and spark some tornados, but I think we might get lucky. Sunday was blazing hot, but yesterday was overcast and much cooler. They think that we might get as much as 6 inches of rain. The good news is that we haven't had much rain, so hopefully we're in good shape to absorb the rain. Again, I think the big concern is the potential for tornados.
So far, so good. We're getting a lot of rain, but I haven't heard any talk about tornados. There are some places in Kentucky that are struggling with all the rain. Our winds are up to 25-30 miles an hour and it's still a little while before the eye of the tropical depression reaches us.

Gentlemen, It has been years since i've been this emotionally drained. I can't watch the news anymore without almost going into tears. I saw pictures of the region by my house and it doesn't look like i'm going home anytime soon. I'm in Baton Rouge with a friend and it looks like i might be here for a month or so. Tommorow i'm going to either go volunteer at the Red Cross or look for a job. This is not even the worst to come. Disease will spread throughout the city in the next week or so. Luting will continue to be an issue and from what i hear OPP(Orleans Parish Prison) is having problems with a hostage situation with a deputy and his family. I'll keep y'all posted with any information.
One guy in Mississippi said that he had to make the choice of saving his wife or his children. He eventually saved his children i'm sure from the influence of his wife. Story is his house split in two and he said he saw his wife swept away into the water. I don't even know how to respond to that. I can't even imagine making such a decision. Man, i'm not feeling to well. Thanks everyone, "Faith" is the Saints new slogan.
Wow BB&G, my thoughts and prayers are with ya man. I can't even imagine what you and everyone else involved is going through right now. I wish you and your family all the best.

That is like the saddest thing I've ever heard. Glad to hear you are safe though.
Hang in there, BB&G! There really isn't much that can be said that will make things better, but I certainly am glad to hear that your safe.

The latest is, An OPP oficer was shot in the head by a Looter. His condition is unknown. 2 other shootings occured outside the Super Dome. They cannot stop the breach in the levee system, the pumps will shut down soon, and after that Bleed's, mine, and every other N.O. resident east of the river will take in another 9 ft. of water. Life has changed as we know it. I would have never in my life imagined a catastrophic event like I have witnessed in the past few days. I have gone through life the past 20 years not knowing how great I have it. To now know I and so many others could go from "the top of the world" straight to nothing. Be thankful for all you have. It can be taken from you so quickly. please keep all these Katrina victims in your prayers. All those still out there staying strong keep them in your prayers. Still no word from my family who stayed, please pray for them. Lets just hope they can keep the extra 9 ft. of water out. God Bless. Bleed I'll be in BR in a few days looking for a new home and a new job right along with you. Good Luck to you.
