yea... real comforting thought. ^ It could ALWAYS be worse... doesnt help though. For all of those affected, my thoughts are with you... I hope everything works out for you and you stay safe. And as BJames put it, be thankful for what we got, cause we never know when were gonna lose it.

I curious if BB&G or BJames have heard anything about the areas surrounding New Orleans. My sister and her family live in Luling, LA. My mom said they headed to Houston to stay with my brother-in-law's family last Saturday. They don't have cell phones and I can't reach them. I feel confident that they are safe, but I am worried about them having a house to come home to.

    Gentlemen,

I'm not too much of a racist person, i'm sure if i grew up in another city i wouldn't even be a slight bit racist, but since i've grown up around New Orleans and it's lovely projects i've come to hate, YES HATE, New Orleans for it.

These ghetto F*CKS take everything given to them for granted and turn around and F*CK over the people who are trying to help. I can't tell you how many times i've sat and watch this happen around our city. Constantly f*cking everything up in their path. I have to go back to my house Monday morning to pick up my things, my neighborhood is a very nice one, but across the park next to us is a trashy ass neighborhood and i'm sure they're running a muck on all the nice houses across the way. I never intended on having to bring my gun, or actually using it, but if these f*cks are in my hood f*cking shit up, i will have no more tolerance for it and will have no regret to what i might do.

I apologize for this rambling, but there isn't any other city, other than L.A., that knows how it is to be over ran by project mother f*ckers and crooked ass cops.

    New Orleans EXPOSED!!!!!!!!!!

Now people see how it is to live in a fish bowl with projects around every corner.

AND WILL THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?????

We shall see, but i doubt they do jack sh*t.

I second that! Got you back Bleed!

Another thing, I like Kanye West, or liked. Until he got on tv and said that the media portrayed the black people in New Orleans as common trash. I quote, " If a black person is taking food and water they are looting, but if a white person is doing the same, they are just trying to survive." Did Kanye not see the ignorant thugs stealing TVs DVD players and tennis shoes, and beating store owners who tried to stop them. The pieces of SHIT cleaning out the gun section of Walmart???? Did he see them!??? He did make a BOLD comment that i enjoyed!! I don't want to start a political war, so don't, but he said and I quote, "Bush does not like black people." I laughed my ass off!! not because it is exactly true, but because he called that muther fucker out on his slow ass actions!!!!! If anyone can find it you will be my hero! Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin's interview on 870 am. Try to download it! you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!

I can not blame Broussard (the Jefferson Parish president) or Ray Nagin for what they have said or how they have felt.

Bush is not to blame. The majority of the blame lies with the Federal bureaucracy and it can't happen to us mindset. Some blame to be assigned to those who can do something but would rather sit and whine.

The media is somewhat to blame for captializing on the misery and the endless speculation of what should have been done, what has yet be done, & how the Bush admin will foul it all up.

As I said elsewhere on this site, I am getting prepared for when (not if) an earthquake strikes here. The government is not prepared for squat. They have yet to learn that ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I have never been a big fan of Kanye and find it unlikely that I will now. The thing that bothered me about Kanye's speech was Austin Powers sitting next to him w/ that look of mock shock and the smug self righteous I told you so look that Hollywood liberals are famous for.

Bush is not a racist. For better or worse, his motivations are economic and perhaps religious. Unless there is some big secret conpsiracy regarding eugenics that I am not aware of.

There have been small peeps from the environmentalists and can't wait unti the full onslaught begins regarding radical climate change & overuse of fossil fuels for Katriana.

I respect BA and his opinion, but I must admit that I feel very differently. I do agree with him about Kanye West. I thought Kanye West's remarks were some of the most ignorant remarks I have ever heard in my lifetime. However, while the fault is not Bush's alone, he is the President and the buck stops with him. Could his presence in Washington have helped cut through the bureaucracy, get relief to the affected area and helped save more lives. We'll never know because his lazy butt was vacationing in Texas. Doesn't he get the news? Why is the President on vacation, when it was clear that a such a large area was in tremendous danger? I'm so sick of this administration I can hardly stand it. I don't know much about Mayor Ray Nagin, but I wish our President would take notes from him on his desire to make sure the people he represents get the help the need. I blame the media, but for a different reason. I want someone to ask President Bush hard questions about this disgusting failure of the government, but they let him off too easy with him simply giving nebulious answers that really don't answer any questions. I just wonder once we've got the remaining survivors to safety, who is going to hold the government accountable for their insufferable incompetance.
