I know this has been said a few times on different threads, but its worth saying again. If Damp is signing a 6 year/ 54 mil deal, I would have prefered the Warriors sign him to it instead of signing Foyle and Fisher. Heck, the Warriors could have still signed Fisher with the MLE, so the question is whether you would rather have Damp at 6 years/54 mil or Foyle at whatever his contract is (I still can't believe we aren't sure of the terms), I suspect its 5 years/42 mil guaranteed.

I'd even take Damp at 6 years/60 mil over Foyle at his contract.

Lord, I hope Foyle ends up proving me wrong...

My hope is that the rumor of Damp signing with Atlanta will cause teams like Memphis and Indiana to kick up their offer in a last ditch attempt to get Damp.

Damp should want it because he'd go to a contender and the Warriors could sign him to a bigger contract. Atlanta certainly isn't over paying for Damp now, so I could see other teams authorizing the Warriors to sign him for more before a S&T.

A Damp sign and trade for Dalembert wouldn't work unless other players were involved to balance the size of the contracts. Dalembert is still on his rookie salary while Damp would be probably be re-signing at least 8 mil a year. The Sixers are pretty high on him though so I doubt they'd trade him unless it was to move some bad contracts.

I don't think Memphis would deal their best franchise player away for Dampier. We're talking about the Logo (Jerry West) who is the GM of the Grizzlies. He's not a sucker. He's the guy that always ends up getting the better end of the deal with his trades.
