    Yeah I agree with what was said at the end of Page 1 in this thread. Danny Ainge never had a definite plan until the summer of 2006. Before then, I criticized him as much as anyone about the fact that he kept flip-flopping and didn't know where he was going with the moves he made. The deal for Antoine, for example, was baffling for a team he claimed was rebuilding with youth. He did that deal because Philly went out and got Chris Webber, so he wanted to bring in Walker to win the division and still be one-up on Philly. Don't get me wrong, I love Antoine and enjoyed the second half of the 2004-2005 season, but that move didn't make sense for where he claimed the team was headed.

    I think in 2006, he realized that his original "plan" of building with youth and competing in the playoffs at the same time just wasn't going to work. So he dealt for expandable contracts, showcased his youth, dealt his picks, and you know the rest. But no question, he had no idea where he wanted to take this team until last summer.
