<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Dan Le:</div><div class="quote_post">In your league do they stop the clock for fouls, timeouts or for anything? Our team is low scoring because its mostly only number 32 and me who score, a team that my friends play for is always high scoring, they had one game where they would of finished with 100 something but the scoreboard stopped at 100, and these were 40minute games without any stops or pauses...

So no, we aren't that bad...I think its pretty ignorant of you to try and judge all of Australia based on a couple of teams in one city, in fact only one league in the whole of Australia.</div>
We don't stop until the last shift. Six shifts of 8 minutes each. And no, I'm not ignorant. Judging by your accounts though, it doesn't seem like Australians are "good". I play in a suburb league and I'd guess we're better than your league, wait till you get to Toronto and Vancouver's runs.

Anyways, didn't mean to poke fun at you, just the way it seemed to me.

Aznx, how much did you score?

I average around 5 a game, but I could easily get around 10 if people just passed me the damn ball more. In the entire game, I think they passed the ball for me once. I had 3 points that game off of a steal and And1 fast break play. Its funny really, they make fun of me because they think I suck, yet I have as much points a game as many of the other players on my team. The only reason I'm on the team I'm on is cause I just signed up for the league, while many other people just make their own teams, and ppl like me fill out the empty spots.

Yes you're better then our league, besides the fact that I haven't mentioned any teams in higher grades or anything like that...

Yeah you sure knew all the facts before you said that Australians aren't very "good"

I don't mean to be harsh but it seems to me like your judging a whole group of people based on one thing..

    Dude, chill.

It's long been a misconception of mine that any place outside of North America has bad players. I've seen and played in China and Singapore and they're real bad. Judging by the Australian Natl Team though, you guys aren't bad but I guess I was biased.

We lost 34-17 or something like that, I scored 7 points, only one field goal and it was a fadeaway and the first shot for our team...I was like 1/5, our big guy number 32 is out for about 6 weeks with a finger injury so we only had 5 players and at first we were only down about 6 (18-12) then I guess we all just got tired and gave up eventually. No real highlights, I missed one free throw and that was a one handed lob because I couldn't be bothered after we were losing and I was fouled with about 2 seconds to go so I hit my first and just for the hell of it I did a fadeaway for my second and hit that too...

Well, it turns out this whole time was just preseason! Ugh! anyway we won again on Tuesday against a crappy team, I was just messing around the whole game, it was like an all star game really...Except..No all stars...

We hardly scored at all because of our SG and SF trying a whole bunch of 1 on 1 crap that never went in but meh...

I almost got into a fight with some fat clown, I was going for a rebound from a missed free throw, so I was boxing him out, jumped up for the rebound and the **** grabbed my right arm and pushed me in the back, there was some pushing going around but thats all, The very next time he drove it down the court and went for a shot I blocked it, some trash talking went on there from me about him being fat and not knowing how to play basketball and a whole lot more, while he made the awesome comeback of "Shut Up" big man right there (literally) Oh and at halftime the ref went up to me and said he saw the push in the back but the other ref had already called 3 in the key.

22-11 or some crappy score like that...Oh I score 6 points on like 2/7

    Woohoo!

    I don't think I've ever gotten a double-double even. Career high's about 24 points two years ago.

    We won 40-39

We played a team full of *ahem* Aboriginals...It seemed like all their shots were flukes, they shot from the chest or way over the head and seemed to get alot of them in as well...

There was a huge guy on their team, I blocked him twice and almost got killed by him twice...

First time I was going for a block on someone, missed it and on the way down my knee kind of hit his arm, I didn't think much of it, afterall isn't this said to be a mans game? But then he walks after me with this angry ass look and grunts, so I say "Sorry man, you alright" he doesn't say anything...Then near the end of the game score was 40-36, they nail a fluke three, 5 seconds left, I get the inbound pass and cup the ball and hold it away from the big guy, he tries to get it off me, but can't, so as soon as the buzzer goes signafying the game over! He nudges me with his left elbow and tries to reach around and hit the ball out of my hand, he still fails...Then after the game (Our league normally shakes hands after games) but they just walk off, even though some of our players offered....

    Also Played pretty poorly...

    4 points/4 boards/5 assists
