There are likely going to be veterans looking to join Kevin Durant with the Golden State Warriors in the coming days. Such is the nature of the beast when the Association’s next super team is built.

Former All-Star David Lee, who left the Warriors following their championship season back in 2014-15, may in fact be one of those veterans.

When asked whether he will look to return to Oakland after spending a season in Boston and Dallas, Lee had this to say.

Lee continued to indicate that he was excited about Durant’s decision to join his former Warriors team.

Lee, 32, was a fan favorite in Oakland during his five-year stint with the team. He’s also extremely close to current Warriors players, All-Star performers Stephen Curry and Draymond Green included.

The forward’s exit from Oakland following the 2014-15 season was in no way a bitter one. Lee was traded to the Boston Celtics primarily due to the fact that his contract would have put the Warriors well above the luxury tax.
