the first one was great, just pretty much set up the story of the first ape becoming smart and then escaping when the people got scared of his abilities.

The last one was pretty damn good. I always forget movie details, but here goes. This scientist guy raised an ape named Cesar. Cesar was really smart and could talk. I think they tested some Alzheimer's drug on him or something which smarted him up, I can't remember now. Then the bad guys were fucking with Cesar which pissed him off so Cesar got all aggro. The bad guys then locked him up with a bunch of other apes. So Cesar said fuck this and started an ape rebellion. I think the new one picks up some years later where the apes escaped and sought refuge in the forest.

EDIT: I just rewatched the last movie and I had some of the details wrong. The drug was tested on Caeser's mom and the benefits passed on to him. Ceaser was saved from being euthanized and then lived with the scientist until he got aggressive. So they locked up Caeser and then he started an ape rebellion. Good stuff.

Watch for Caesar. He's the main character and looks like he'll lead a huge force against the humans and kick ass!

We can talk about hairdressing and figure skating if you want to discuss things I know nothing about as well.

The basis for it is humans playing god and destroying ourselves with technology. This one is just one of the more creative variations. Not that unbelievable IMO and I put it in the same category as say Terminator in that sense. We will kill ourselves one day, it will just probably be something less interesting and more preventable. But in the meantime this is an entertaining story and good movie.

So I liked it. I don't know how they do the apes. Is it like Avatar? Or basically just amazing computer animation? It was visually spectacular. As for the story, it was fine.
